Mine are MTL but I did change the inserts in both where I really like them.

I should have waited. Both the tanks with inserts, and the asst inserts weren’t in stock when I ordered. I stuffed some trimmed wick in the DL’s af slot for the moment. I’m kind of bummed. It’s not so fabulous that I feel like overlooking the bottom fill. Maybe I was expecting too much after all the gushing over the flavor

Going by the two I have they actually have great flavor. I think you'll find that when you get the right inserts.

What wicking method did you use? Exocet, Bunny Ear or Vapdivrr?
Perhaps try one of the other methods. Some swear by the bunny ear method while others swear by the Exocet method. In my experience all provide excellent flavor. I switch off between Exocet and Vapdivrr.

Rayon or cotton? If you used cotton perhaps try rayon and vice versa. I switch off between both in all my RBA's.

How high is your coil positioned over the AF? It can make a difference in quality of vape and flavor. I have mine at ~1.5mm. Try raising or lowering your coil.

The Dvarw MTL comes with a tiny air flow insert installed (1mm, maybe?). No wonder you didn't like it, @NolaMel.

My A/C is fixed! He put in a new thermostat, and redid all the low voltage connections in the attic. It got up to 84 in here and is already sitting at 80 after 15 minutes. He stuck around for a while to make sure the problem was fixed.

Mine are at the height so I can see straight through with that first outer cap on (without cotton of course)

I bought the DL FL. I don't think mine came with any inserts. What does it come with? I could stand a little more airflow for DL vaping. I'm getting very good flavor. The dinner lady lemon tart one shot tastes better in it than the other two tanks I've tried it in.

I would take a look at the Dvarw MTL if I were you. That's the one I mentioned to you last year and offered to send you.

It is easy to use, setup and maintain.

Ask @FranC, @charlie1465 or @hittman how they are getting on with theirs.

I have an Aegis Mini that I use for dry burning coils. I don't have to charge it very often. This morning it needed a charge, when I opened the little rubber tab that covers the charging socket it had juice inside. Not inside the socket as far as I could tell, just on the metal plate around the opening. Guess it could have got in past the rubber cover but that looks pretty well sealed. I dry burn bottom feed RDAs on it but the Mini is supposed to be liquid proof. It still works fine though. Probably need to check it from time to time and keep it dry.

By default the Dvarw DL FL comes with the 2x2.5mm AF insert installed. That's 3.54mm total airflow. That is the default AF for DL FL's bought direct from KHW Mods or FT.

The optional AF inserts that KHW Mods makes are:
2x2mm = 2.83mm AF
2x3mm = 4.24mm AF
And they make a blank for drilling your own AF.


Looking at Fasttech, they do not sell any optional AF inserts for the Dvarw DL FL's.

If you wanted more AF you might consider buying direct from KHW Mods. They ship fast, as in 3 days. Last I checked they were still shipping via DHL.

Alternatively, for more airflow you could remove and run it without the AF insert. That would open it up more. I've seen a couple folks do that with theirs.
