I learned early in life that dogs are chick magnets. Especially German Shepherds. When I take Carli for walks during normal people hours I'm always getting stopped. "Oh your dog is soooo cute, can I pet her". But of course.

It was me I think. There's a UK dessert called Rhubarb Fool (not sure if you call/have it in the US) which is just a Rhubarb compote whizzed up with custard.

That is what I thought. The fruit is too light. Of course the custard was too heavy for me also.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Custard tends to be lighter in the US? And I know everyone here likes there forward fruit top note. My custards are heavy and the idea has always been to mimic adding a spoon of jam to the custard so never forward in the mix....I don't think that would work for me....or in a heavy custard....just my two cents.

I like the height of the Kriemhild II but the coils are nothing to write home about so far. I’m trying the .2 right now. I was thinking of getting the rba.

Im using the 0.2 right now at 25 watts and the flavour seems very good to me.....but then again I'm running Fran's ice cream base with Alpine strawberry and Meringue

Sorry I rudely disappeared yesterday....I do that sometimes....parties, shops, cinema's.....forums

Damned time zone differences!! Life often gets in the way.

I'm going to mix Fran's creamy custard but I'll probably X1.5 the flavourings to make it more robust. I'm not too keen on fruit forward combos. I often think of mixing say a tropical punch or similar and then cry off at the last minute. Can't quite get away from sweetness....not necessarily with sweeteners but I do like a bit of sweet mouth feel. I find myself adding meringue or a sweet fruit a lot.

I got my mixing done about an hour ago and just finished eating a big bowl of ice cream.
The ice cream was a treat, not normal. Fancy stuff, two kinds. One was Strawberry Champagne the other a Blueberry Waffle Cone ice cream. I put some store bought cream puffs and a chocolate covered caramel on top.

I mixed a couple mixes and 3 sfts. The Sfts are Lulo 2%, Salted Caramel FW 5%, and JF Yellow Cake 5%.
SNV impressions:
I really like the Lulo by itself! That is a very interesting flavor. I swear it's like something else I've tasted recently but can't place it. I'll be passing some samples of this out to a couple friends.
The salted Caramel seemed week at 5%, which made me think: I never really took note of which Salted Caramel people prefer. ??
The Yellow Cake surprised me with an immediate punch of almost twinkie-like flavor, really seems too strong at 5%, although with the right filling it might make a nice two flavor twinkie. I see why people talk highly of it though.

Also mixed some Cap'n Choc (new name, chocolate coffee) with the FA Cappucino and VT Chocolate Mousse, waiting to taste that.
Also made some of the Chocolate Mangosteen I posted earlier. Ended up with two mixes on it due to using the wrong chocolate the first time. I wanted to use Chocolate Chunks in it for a darker solid chocolate flavor, but grabbed Mousse and used it. Realized when I went to mix the coffee and had the chocolate chunks lined up to use and had already moved the mousse to the side.
So I mixed a second bottle with the Chunks. Tasted both, chunks is working better as snv.

The Salted Caramel is good, but it needs a steep. I was disappointed with it at first until I figured out what it was. When I had salted caramel at ice cream shops it was literally just that, salted caramel.. big chunks of sea salt over caramel. Incredibly tasty.

The salted caramel FW is a bit different though... and I kind of learned that through experiencing salted caramel outside of shops like Dairy Queen. I prefer the REAL salted caramel from my first experience, but with that said Salted Caramel FW is a good caramel... let it steep.
