The stern look on Buster's face says "my spot, you go sleep on the couch Dad".

He is spoiled rotten. Best dog I have ever owned though.. He has a bed in our room. Once both my wife and I get in bed he'll jump down and go to his bed. He hates being touched when he sleeps, and does this moan and groan thing if you touch him.

I've got my hopes up for a quiet yet productive Friday. The last two days at work have been a real PITA so I figure I've got a good one coming.

Those of you that have tried Charlie's mango cream, how long are you letting it steep? I have a 10ml sample that's at about 1.5 weeks right now. Just wondering if it would be good to try this weekend?
It's good after 7 days and the mango tastes riper the longer you steep it :)

It was 28 this morning. Up to a whole 30 due to sun. One more night in the 20’s and we’ll be warming up a bit.
Woke up to 47* here. Oh, my BRRRRRRRRR! Himself is out felling some dead trees. It is nice to see trees with the leaves changing colors (from inside lol)

@sessiondrummer , very nice to see you here! I have you to thank (blame lol) for my MF stash. Ty for putting your notes over here

Those look good. I hope you like FA Breakfast Cereal. It's one of my favorite cereals.

I hope you post the recipes once you get them just right. And both mixes look sooooo very healthy!!! :)
Can you describe how you think FA breakfast cereal tastes? I need to give it a try. Still sitting in the “to be sorted” box. Also got cornbread, which I was thinking might work as a cereal or cookie booster. Then I second guessed myself

Yes, indeed. I remember the white knuckle photo with you wearing that cute jumpsuit on the bridge in Sydney. :D Just teasing ya (maybe ;)), I know they give you those to wear for the tour.
White knuckle???.....I told you I'd just been doing the parallel bars routine

Well I'm not mixing, but I am making a chocolate cake today with I'm thinking a vanilla cream pat filling and perhaps a Swiss buttercream icing because I can't think of anything more exciting.... Lol

I've decided to celebrate my blood work-up not showing diabetes which I was concerned about, and being in general decent health, (back notwithstanding but I'm in less pain)

So, nice cake it will be, and a big pot of chili for supper! Temp is 28 degrees, good day for cooking and baking.. :)

That's where I'm lucky. I pulled some money the other day for my wife to get started on Xmas shopping. She does most of the shopping. She swears that this year she's not buying for the one brother that we almost never see and doesn't stay in touch but then wants to get together at Xmas to exchange gifts. I don't think we've seen or heard from him three times this year. I always pick a few little things for the kids and shop for the wife. Last year I got her an iwatch and she still hasn't used it. I'm going to stop buying her electronics. The only thing I've gotten her in that category that she actually uses is a Macbook.

It's great how you're so motivated to run in the mornings. I wish I was more of morning person. This week was a fail as far as exercise goes. There's been something going on or I was too tired after work and haven't ran since Sunday. Now the youngest is coming home today so probably won't get in another one until Sunday again.

My brother in law always gets my wife these huge gaudy, expensive purses that she never uses. There's a disconnect between the two of them. He always complains that she doesn't listen to him, which I find strange because she doesn't need to. It's kind of hilarious because he tries to give her career advice, while she's the sole reason he has the job he currently has.. He doesn't really like me, which is fine because I could care less. I have to admit, there are times I wonder if it's because I am white.

I think I might be venting right now... Sorry, hitt... Skeebo always strong arming the conversation.

Speaking of extended warranty's, when I bought my leaf blower, at the checkout they asked if I wanted the extended warranty! I honestly started laughing out loud, probably shouldn't have, but couldn't help it. I think we can buy optional extended warranty's on just about everything these days.

I am hoping for one the next time I buy pencils at Staples. ;)

I don't normally buy an extended warranty but did on this range we bought. In my opinion it was expensive for a range and had a lot of electronics that could fail so thought I'd get the extended warranty. It even connects to the wifi and I can preheat either one of the ovens from my cell phone if I want. I learned last night looking through the manual that you can also calibrate the oven temperature if you think it's incorrect and is too hot or too cool.

No problem. My wife has two brothers and they are freaks of nature. I don't hate them but don't love them either.

Using what I have I'm going to try this on my next mixing session.
    Grapefruit-fa-2%
    Orange cream-wf-1%
    Orange creamsicle-cap-1%
    Biscuit-jf-1.5%

That's a bit of an odd recipe to me anyway. Let us know what you think of it. Some times strange is really good.

@FranC , I had the ooo creamy yogurt mix in a jackaroo pod. I refilled it Wednesday to take with me yesterday. So maybe 36 hours max? Big difference. I don’t know if it steeped because it was a small amount, or tasted different because I wasn’t vaping with coffee…. But, the malty is almost gone and fruit has started to show up and shine. Can’t wait to see how the bottle is when I get home

I think FA Breakfast Cereal is a fairly neutral cereal when compared to TPA Sweet Cereal Flakes, TPA Fruit Circles, TPA Crunchy Cereal and CAP Cereal 27. I find CAP cereal 27 to be harsh even with a long steep. FA breakfast cereal is the opposite, very smooth when used 0.25% - 2%.

FA breakfast cereal is grainy, that makes it very useful for many other kinds of recipes besides a straight-up cereal mix. To me it tastes like a combination of Wheat Chex and perhaps Honey Bunches of Oats cereal. I taste an almost, but really good, nutty flavor in it. It has a lower level of sweetness.

I think it would be good as a background note paired with WF Crispy Wafer, SSA Crisp Waffle or WF Sugar Cone. Also with a shortbread cookie or any other cookie. Used low, as a crumble topping anywhere you would use one. A background note in yogurts. Or a near nutty note to ice creams. It would add a nice crunchy note to either one of my croissant bases.

It would also be good paired with FA Torrone (Nougat). IMO, breakfast cereal would tone down some of the sweetness Torrone has. Thinking that for like a crunchy chocolate nougat. Also, it is good paired with either FA Milk or VTA Milk Fresh. Regular creams too. Just about any fruit.

I mainly use it 0.25% - 1% and as a background note in recipes. When I have used it as more of a main flavor I've never gone over 2%. Some folks like it up to 4%, personally I feel that is too high for the flavor itself, but whatever flips peoples triggers is good.

I used it as a crumb like topping and a crust in my recent donut mix.

    Chocolate Crumb Donut

    VTA Chocolate Mousse 2.25%
    WF Bread (Sweet) 1.5%
    FA Breakfast Cereal 1%
    WF Cream Puff 1.2%
