We got up really early this morning and braved the shops. The French have there feast on both days so much quieter. I had to get a little extra gift for V and we had to pick up a leg of lamb for tomorrow. Quick in and out really. The rest we ordered via the drive pickup. Bio supermarket was quiet so no problems there and the last store was as normal so all was more or less easy....we don't want "you know what" do we?
Lots more to do....wrapping etc. I'm going to throw a few mixes together if I've got time.

I’m going to charge some new batteries today also. At least they were new when I bought them years ago.
Ohhh it’s almost time for Santa! I love Christmas. Today I go to Mom’s and scrub her kitchen floors and bathroom before we all converge there tomorrow. Gonna do that early. Our local grocery store was out of marshmallow cream that my Mom needed so son and I braved the crowds and found some a couple of towns over last night. I think I’ll clean up a bit at my house too. All the decorations come down the 26th so that will be a job. My house always seems bare afterwards. The earthquake was estimated to be a 3.8. It was felt by a lot of people around here.
Several of mine need replacing. They keep draining too fast and the voltage drop is becoming annoying. They're years old too. I've never been one for battery paranoia
Merry Christmas Eve. I’m just not feeling the Xmas spirit this year. Might be the warm weather or something. We have Xmas with the outlaws tonight. I’m not sure what time my daughter is coming home. I tried to go back to sleep after waking up at 4:30. There were a bunch of sirens going off. Not sure what that was about.
I just read a quote online somewhere, that said something like:

Dd is still cleaning. I was brave enough to go out to kitchen to make a cocoa. I’m not braving the house again til she stops.
