Me too, DLIzzy started crying at 2:30am like I knew she would - I tried to get the wife to give her a pain pill when they went to bed but she didn't want to for some reason. So here she crushed one (they are pieces that are 1/4 of a pill) and gave it to Izzy in some soft food. She ate it up, drank water and they went back to bed and are still sleeping.Hope she feels better today!
Good to hear you are getting TC squared away.
Another thing that will help to prevent loud pops is making your spaced coils with the winding's close together. coils will pop loudly if they are more widely spaced (pooled juice is the cause).
Here is a photo of one of my coils. It's a 26g SS316L 2.5id 8 wraps at 0.5Ω (TEMCo wire). The deck is a Kayfun lite 2019.

ETA: If you look closely, you will see juice pooled up between some of the winding's on the left and in the center. That's normal for spaced coils. When I take the first hit after the RTA has been sitting a while there will be one pop, that's normal. After that no pops, just the normal crackling sound you would hear from any RTA.
True enough. There’s bad mistakes and good mistakes.Sometimes they turn out to be pretty darn good mistakes. Who has not gone from "Oops" to "Viola"?View attachment 971780
I really don’t know but you could try a bit of heat from a hair dryer.Just got a delivery of vape bands from Amazon. Less than 24 hours since I ordered them.
Nice bands, they're thick and wide and they have nice designs instead of goofy words. Problem is they were sold as 22mm but that turned out to be the outside measurement. Takes a bit of work to get them on a tank. Tried stretching one with a couple of fingers and made a little progress. I know bands tend to stretch and get looser with time. Is there any simple way of stretching silicone? Heat maybe?

WinnerThink I got that one figured out. Just spent 15 mins sitting in the kitchen watching the TV and stretching one with my index fingers, now it's perfect.
TC is more particular with getting it setup properly. Once setup the TC settings don't need to be messed with. On my DNA and Arctic Fox mods I set 6 of the 8 profiles for different vaping styles with TC and for specific RBA's (wattages, temps, boost) and left a couple set for simple wattage modes.I get the impression that TC is more sensitive than wattage. Things need to be just right.
I use a Coil Master v3 coiling kit for winding coils. After a coil is tightly wound I hold one wire end firmly in place and then carefully pull the other wire end on the rod to space the coil. Then I compress the wire back against the jig and I have a perfectly spaced coil each time. It did take me a bit to learn how to make them so the spacing was closer together. This is the kit I have...Winding is still a problem for me. I've made kanthal contact coils for so long. Got used to just using heat and tweezers to tune them up. Since you can't use heat on SS I've been winding them with the wraps as close as I can get them, then using a fingernail to open the gaps where they are too close or touching. I haven't figured out a way of closing the gaps where they are too far apart. Imagine I'll get better with practice. A lot of coils I've made have had one or more gaps that were too wide.
