Yea - Haven't been posting much recently, especially since I feel I didn't have much to add to the conversations, except for "My" daily routines and normal health trials and tribulation (EX: I'm going into hospital for another AFib procedure June 1st)and that I'm sure everyone has heard enough about already. . . . So just been lurking and postiing occasionally . . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I've been enjoying my new cake mix today. It's a light creamy cake.

Angel's Creamy Cake

WF Angel Cake 2%
FW White Cake 1.25%
FA Cheesecake Olympus 2%
WF Cream Puff 1.25%

FA Cheesecake Olympus is one of their new(er) flavors. I'm not sure what Flavour Art was aiming for with Cheesecake Olympus because it's more of a cream than it is a cheesecake. It lacks the tangy cheese note and I am not getting any graham. With that in mind it is a very good cream flavor.

WF Angel Cake and FW White Cake work well together. WF Cream Puff adds more creaminess and a very light pastry note.

I didn't add any fruit to this mix as I wanted to get the cake and creams working together before adding anything else. Any fruit(s) will work with this mix.

June is almost here. Not sure what happened to March. April. and May. They just zipped by me. Good thoughts to you for your upcoming procedure. Just so you know, I like reading daily routines and trials and tribulations. I think sharing helps to lighten the load. At least it does for me. So share!

I didn’t get the Olympus thinking I had enough cheesecake flavors. I guess one more wouldn’t hurt.

Fran, you must be my lucky charm. The lawn wasn’t as bad as I expected after so much rain. There is standing water in the back corner but I just used the weed eater there. It wasn’t as bad as the last couple mowings.

We have to do a Sams Club run later so the wife can get some stuff for her mom. I want to get by Lowes so we can schedule someone to come and measure the bathroom upstairs for flooring.

It’s not a great cheesecake flavor at all. As SMT said it’s more of a cream.I pair it with SSA Cheescake on Graham to smooth out the SSA. Any cream can be used for that but it’s a good way to use up the Olympus.

It really depends on how much they want for installation. We’ll get a quote there and we picked up a list of contractors that Menards uses so we can get multiple quotes.

Here’s the orange cookie recipe that SMT helped me with. It’s simple but good.

FA Blood orange 3.5%
FA cookie 1.5%
Ssa juicy orange 2.5%
FA vanilla cookie 1%

There actually is an election today, but no people on the ballot, just a couple of amendments to the state constitution. I'm going to go get me a Sonic drink, so I guess I'll stop by and cast my ballot. It's usually an in and out thing. It's about increasing the homestead exemption on property, which means lower taxes for those who own and live in a house, like my mother.
