My wife for some reason thought it was going to be much less. I explained to her how there are a lot of little things that need to be done and not just throw the flooring down. The jet tub sits in the corner at an angle and it's just not going to look right with the step there and the new flooring so I'm going to try to remove it so it's a flat surface in front of the tub. I just hope there's nothing stored inside that step. If so we're going to have to leave it and just tile the step.
In that case, I hope step removal goes smoothly.

I seriously doubt that it will. Part of the step is against the vanity so it's going to be difficult most likely. I have a feeling that the step was built then the vanity was pushed up against it.

The last couple days I've been enjoying my new chocolate wafer mix. I vaped this in an rda and currently have it in an RTA. I vaped this: 12w - 25w in simple wattage mode and then using TC. MTL and RDL.

    Creamy Chocolate Wafer

    SSA Chocolate Mousse 3%
    CAP Wafer Crunch 2.5%
    SSA Flakey Pastry 1%
    WF Cream Puff 1.5%
    SSA Ice Cream 1%

Suggested steep = 30 days / as always... YMMV

I am very impressed with SSA Chocolate Mousse. It is very chocolatey. Color-wise it is very light and similar to VTA CM in color. I was very curious how SSA CM would stack-up to VTA CM. IMO, they are two very different tasting CM's. SSA's leans more towards a milk chocolate while VTA's leans darker but not a true dark chocolate (make sense?).

In my experience, Sobucky Super Aromas chocolates are right up there with VTA's.

IMHO... SSA and VTA chocolates are currently the Top Chocolates for DIY (with one exception... MF DC). The other chocolates (TFA, CAP etc.) are, by far, not in the same league whatsoever.

At first I tried this mix with SSA CM at 2%. It was good and brought a lighter tasting chocolate to the creamy wafer profile. I decided to push SSA chocolate mousse; so I added another 1% (3% total). The extra 1% chocolate mousse took the mix to another level. "Like to a WOW level of chocolate goodness." 3% brought the overall chocolate to what a creamy chocolate wafer should taste like.

CAP Wafer Crunch + SSA Flakey Pastry are a fine combination. Together they make a pleasant tasting soft baked cookie-like wafer that retains both the wafer crunchiness and soft pastry characteristics. WF Cream Puff adds it's own pastry note to the overall bakery profile.

WF Cream Puff is also a really nice tasting cream. I wanted something more for the creaminess aspect. Something that wasn't just a 'cream' per se. It had to offer creaminess but in a more disguised manner. I went with SSA Ice Cream specifically for it's neutral nature compared to other IC's. It brought that in spades.

WF Cream Puff + SSA Ice Cream make a fine overall creamy base for Chocolate Mousse over the top.

Side note: SSA Chocolate Mousse leaves a really nice chocolatey aroma in the air. And also leaves a very pleasant chocolate on the palate (but doesn't linger for long ;)).

SSA CM is not in any way a fake tasting tootsie roll like chocolate. It tastes like a milk chocolate that has been slightly darkened (hope that makes sense!). Naturally, and to be expected, the other four flavors do play a major role in how SSA CM translates in the mix.

@Zazie can you please add this to your blog? Thank you! :)

I didn't bother getting the SSA version of CM. I've always liked VTA's and it doesn't lean toward dark chocolate for me. With that said, the recipe looks good.

    Morning, mixers, and happy Friday!

If so we're going to have to leave it and just tile the step.

The step might be handy at some time in the future... can you put it back, after the floor is done?

Sunny days seem to be gone again, "weekend" rain due to start any minute.

Not easily. One side is against the wall and the other is against the step. It's a double sink vanity. Some day I'd like to have that jet tub removed and expand the shower. That is going to be expensive so will have to do that another day if at all.

I actually like the step there and sit there each morning before work to put my shoes on. However, the wife says it's outdated and wouldn't look good with the new design. The floor is just the first step. After that she's going to want to paint, replace the vanity hardware, maybe replace the mirror and the light fixture definitely needs to go. I'm not sure how hard it would be but I'd like to remove the hollywood light fixture and put one fixture over each sink with two separate mirrors.

    Have fun.:)
Oh yes we did!!! :D There were some out-of-towners at one of the stores. And I just couldn't help myself... I pointed to the ceiling and said "what the hell is that?" a few times in a goofy Billy Bob Thornton kind of way. They quickly looked where I was pointing. Daughter #2 quickly grabbed the cart and split while trying not to laugh.

You remember that from SNL with Steve Martin?

Yup, that's the one and to this day it works!

Told ya, grocery shopping with me is always like "you never know what I might do". :w00t:

It probably wouldn't work with you! There isn't much you haven't seen, but maybe I have a few you haven't experienced (doubt it though ;)). I have a feeling that together our grocery shopping trips would be fun. :D

Howdy. I got a late lunch today. That's ok though. It means it's closer to quitting time. I have three new review tanks to get set up tonight. I need to try to decide what I'm going to put in them for testing.

Wild cucumber is a kind of gourd that is not related to the kinds of cucumber we eat. It's a native annual vine that grows extremely quickly and climbs vigorously. Unlike @the wind, I think its little spiny fruits are cute. It also has handsome leaves and charming, lightly fragrant flowers.
may not be quick but do climb
