I think most of what I’m going to buy will probably be in the Flavorah line but there a few MFs that I want. Lemon, strawberry, maybe pear. It is really hard to find a lemon that doesn’t fade.
Most of FLV are really good. Personally for pear my fav is shape up from MB. If your after mostly super concentrates you should check out the SC line at BC.

Good morning all!

@IDJoel excellent post. And spot on.

Last night I ran across a few interesting recipes. The coming year I want to build my flavors with more of the ultra concentrates like Flavorah and Medicine Flower. I like the thought of a great vape at 3% flavor. But last night I found two recipes, one was at .8 % and one was at .43 %. That just blows my mind.
I have some Flv Lime that I use for a skittles mix, but only a small %. Wanted to use it as a main flavor in a mix just to try to start using it up, so I mixed a Lime Cheesecake with 2 % FLV Lime and created this recipe:

Pinesol -
2.5% Cheesecake FW
4.5 New York Cheesecake CAP
2 Lime FLV
0.5 Vanilla Swirl TPA
0.5 Sugar Daddy Regular

For the first few weeks it was like inhaling pinesol, but in a good way (hahaha!), after a month and a half it was actually interesting, tasted similar to whatever you call that old fashioned whipped lime dessert stuff. Still smelled very reminiscent of Pinesol though. I feel like 0.5 Lime would have been adequate.

Okay I just recoiled ONE doggy. OMG. Things I tried. Annealing the wire (helpful). Installing many small coils. Demanding the husband give me the perfect screwdriver Tried installing a huge one with like, long legs, thin and thicker wire. That did not go well at all. Finally I was like, grab one of those exotic coils from the Rose V3 that I had much success with.

That took a while, but at least after I installed it, I didn't get a hot spot that just burned through itself instantly, causing a short. That is my least favorite event ever... Because you literally are like, "Okay! I've got this coil installed it has a resistance so it's ugly... flames.... no atomizer." That is SO dispiriting man it truly is. LOL. Because you have to diassemble everything, and then pick out a NEW coil, and etc.

It is vaping very happily at 15 watts, a bit higher than my usual at 15 watts. As a bonus the unlablled vat of juice I had that I thought MIGHT be peaches and cream was in fact that.

Phew. I really... I'm starting to think I'm not too good at this vaping thing. I am also thinking I might need to buy STOCK in those Fummytech whatever coils I have. Something about the large diameter and very hard to bend works pretty well for my fine motor tremor when maybe thinner wire does NOT. I also like how they vape.

But, yeah, I suck at vaping a great, great deal from time to time.

This post brought to you by the letter P. For Poop. And, Perseverance.

I'm taking a break now from dealing with the other one.... And my notes. I may live to regret that...

But No Half Measures. LOL.

Well said!

When I first began to DIY, I subscribed to the "more is more complex, and therefore, 'better'" school. I was wrong! 6 vanillas, are not necessarily, better than one or two.

Complex recipes can have their place.... when well conceived. Otherwise, I am just making one more "hot mess." Muddled flavors, muted profiles, and unidentifiable results are the more likely result (similar ingredients that end up conflicting with one another; vs. complimenting each other)... for me, anyway. This is why I prefer to build "up" vs. "down." Adding an extra ingredient, to fill out a missing note; is far easier, than identifying two or three ingredients that are stepping on one another's toes.

Thank you.

When I first started mixing I used mostly HIC’s recipes and they were all <10% total flavoring with no added sweetener. There are times that I would like a juice a little sweetener so upping the VG may do the trick. I have considered buying Monk Fruit but haven’t done so yet. HIC’s recipes use all FA flavorings with a few exceptions. FA tends to be stronger than other brands so less is more. The bonus for me is that they do not contain the chemicals that cause muting for me. I would never consider mixing a recipe with 20% flavoring without making big adjustments. This is not to say I don’t mix juices with over 10% flavoring. I mix several of the 1-2-3 recipes (6% total flavoring). There are so many variables with vaping however hardware is not the issue for me.

I have some MB on my list, specifically glamour chocolate. I will add pear to it. As far as SC are you talking about RealFlavors?

This was slightly confusing to me because I've seen the RF Super Concentrates and also Wonder Flavors SC...

From the drop down I see Wonder Flavors and then they say SC on some of their items. And then there is the Real Flavors line and then a Super Concentrated line. I wonder who makes the SCs.

For the FA Honey Hic recommends making a 10% dilution cos it’s strong.

Good advice. I had considered doing this because I do plan on using pretty small amounts. I did some research on honey flavors before buying one and it seems like all of them can easily overpower a mix. When I really get mixing I tend to make large bottles because I go through a lot of liquid, so at that point I won't have to be quite as careful like I would with a 10ml bottle mix.
When I started reading up on honey I was kinda saddened by so many comments of way too strong or terrible smell. The FA sounded like the one for me for flavor profile and supposed to have less of a feline waste product smell... But so I had to open the cap and sniff it, and it reeks!:shock:
But in a tolerable way, I'm sure it will be fine in small percents.

Anyone have any simple tobacco mixes for FA Desert Ship? It's not for me, I don't do tobacco flavors at all. I have some ideas but don't quite know what to expect from Desert Ship.
I will say this right off the bat. Desert ship is not tobacco. Its nasty on its own. I am a tobacco fan and the only way I can use it is with RY4D and only in very small amounts like less than 1%

I bought it on a whim. Maybe I'll mix it with a little caramel and chocolate to mimic ry4, hazelnut...

Let me know what you think of zeppola. It’s been on my list, but I was up in the air about it

Did a knuckle test out of the bottle and it was interesting, I get a lot of "deep fried" flavor and dough or cake, tiny sweet.

Sounds good!
I'm looking forward to mixing with it, my first venture into fried flavors. It's a lighter kind of fry taste than I have had in some commercial liquids in the past (didn't care for those) and I think it will be a good flavor to experiment with. Hmmm. Zeppola, honey, pistachio, something creamy...

Pistachio Zeppolini -
3.5 Zeppola FA
1 Sugar Cookie CAP
2 Pistachio TPA
0.3 Honey FA
2 Bavarian Cream FW

Well there's one down.
