Random DIY mixing and More

One year for my birthday my daughter wrapped a kettle bell for me with about 15 layers of duct tape. It took me about 30 minutes to get it open. She thought that was really funny. Me, not as much.

I got the kids these as gag gifts for Xmas this past year. I used to always buy them a toy of some kind like they were still little kids.

I have to keep her pain in mind so I’d never wrap anything in duct tape like that. Last year I gave her a wrapped gift that contained the one gift that came in the box plus 3-4 smaller things all wrapped. She wasen’t really amused at the double wrapping. Going with a gift bag for this years idea.

We get them up here. I've tried taking photos but I'm no pro photographer, so they never turn out well. There are some pro photographers who have shot some really nice Northern Lights pics up here.

This pro shot photo was taken in Door County which is just east of our place. Door County is often called the Cape Cod of the Midwest. Door Peninsula is 70 miles long with Lake Michigan on the east and the waters of Green Bay on the west. This photo was taken on the western side.

One incredible benefit of Door County's remoteness and hundreds of miles of Lake Michigan shoreline is that there is no light pollution up here. There are no nearby metropolitan areas with big-city lights, so the stars, Milky Way, and constellations are brighter, and sometimes, if you're lucky...

And this is what our skies look like on clear nights. We don't have any light pollution around us.



There have been nights where we've sat out and just watched the skies all night. There truly isn't a better light show than what Mother Nature has to offer, unless one goes even further north, like up into Canada.

Good evening. The wife picked up pizza for dinner and I have plans of doing very little tonight. Work was busy today which made it go by quickly.

I dry burned a dead rabbit solo rda so may wick that and try one of my sft I’ve been putting off. Also was thinking about a lemon cookie recipe. I might mix a 10ml sample to see if I’m on the right track.

A while back I thought I took all vape stuff out of my bureau drawers. Well, I need to get stuff off my tall chest of drawers so I start looking for space in drawers to put vaping stuff. I discovered one drawer that still had a bunch of vaping stuff including two more tanks. A True tank and an Ares 2. The chest of drawers will need to be moved so trying to get at least most stuff off it.

Plans are made to be broken. I had to end up taking the wife to Lowe’s. We needed more ant spray and she wanted some gloves for sanding. I picked up a new 1” Purdy paint brush. She ruined my old one by not cleaning it out well then bought herself one and put her name on it. Am I the only one that sees the irony in that? Anyway, I’ve got a new one now for when we start to paint.
