Jeremy, hey bro! I know you use dw. I've used it at 10% & 5% it works killer! I'm curious about the water going "bad". I burn through my adv stash really quick, but the gallon jug I'm questioning? I know water can grow funky stuff quick. How long are you going? I don't wanna be vaping funky stuff:eek::w00t::lol:

If the water is distilled and the container has been properly "sanitized" there won't be anything left in it for it to go "funky". Personally, I'd just use a known, good, clean source of tap water or water from a five stage reverse osmosis filter. No storage required.

whos maker of the pineapple.
ive tried tpa and fa but prefer tfa's as it has a nicer/sweeter taste and doesnt need steeping.
fa's seems to taste chemically to me, steeping seems to smoothen it somewhat but still do not get that nice pineapple taste as in tpa's.
i generally mix low % of flavorings at around 5%-7%
Yep. All TFA from Wizard Labs. Agree that it could be significantly toned down for most people, but I wouldn't even be able to taste it at 5%...even with rayon.

BTW, I was a little surprised how well pineapple and watermelon go together. I don't recall ever coming across that combination before, but it works nice.

It's a sad, sad, day here in SNJ. My Invader Mini has gone to that big vape cloud in the sky. It started asking "new coil" every time it was turned on and occasionally during use. Then it started showing "no atomizer" even though the same tank was still on it, undisturbed. I fooled around with it today, not much to actually fool with, and it's now firing but not delivering any power. RIP, Invader Mini, you were a trusty friend. I've had over two dozen mods since I've been vaping, and that doesn't include tons of Ego style and cig-a-like batteries, and this is only the second one to actually fail.

I just ordered a new one, love it for working outside or when taking a shower.

Yes, it was a bad day yesterday. At least your Invader Mini died a natural death. My little endurance experiment died due to involuntary wickslaughter. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

At around 84 ml, I started noticing a drop off in flavor, so I decided to try Jeremy's method of saturating the wick followed by a short burst of high power to blow the gunk off the coil. I got a little carried away.

Note to self: 200 watts for 2 seconds is way too much for that build. Oh well, I was getting bored with it anyway. Maybe next time, I'll set a new record.

...to be continued.

Hey, well, actually I don't use distilled. Just filtered tap water or spring water. I don't use water on a regular basis, only when it's below 50 outside. However, I have been trying 2-3% pg just to cut the moisturizing from continual 100vg use. Then added 3-5% water to that for winter depending how cold.

In my experience distilled or reverse osmosis water had a negative effect of reducing the flavor. Mineral stripped water is slightly corrosive and it seem to act that way toward the flavor.. So I just use regular..

I think the plastic will leach into the water eventually, especially if its milk jug style. I can taste it at least..

Yeah I meant like 10w more than normal if your not running at the limit already. If I got a bad taste I would saturate and wipe a folded paper towel the size of the coil over the outside of coil and re-soak

Thanks man! It's still cold here in Utah, especially at night. I transferred from a plastic milk jug style to a glass bottle when I first opened it. I'd never had a problem with my max vg until recently and 5% h20 totally fixed my issue. I too have recently been adding a little pg, just enough to get me to like an even 80/20 or 75/25 mix. hopefully it warms up here and things can get back to normal soon lol.

So, what is the best way to recharge my coils without having to rewick? I have to try to get more use out of this rayon before I change it out only because my coils are gunked.
I guess you could rinse it off while still in the Coil. But Rayon isn't that expensive a Box is around $13 and that is more than you could possibly use in a lifetime of Coils.

for trying to keep existing wick its just easier to remove wick, dryburn coil, rewick .
imho ymmv

I know, I have a huge box I am trying to save some hassle here and prolong the time in between wickings.

I hate the "new wick flavor". So I try to keep the same wick. Especially if, somehow, the planets aligned, God smiled, the Angels sang, Pux. Phil didn't see his shadow, the Cubs won the Pennant, and Einstein was wrong about Salami Waves, and I actually got the wicking right.

Was that a run-on sentence? Oh well. I try to keep the same wick. I'll ultrasonic the wick, but I'll also wash it under the tap. Just did that 5 minutes ago. Now vaping nicely. Still use the T-paper to dry it.

EDIT: I mean to say that I sometimes use the ultrasonic and I sometimes just rinse under the faucet.
