I hate the "new wick flavor". So I try to keep the same wick. Especially if, somehow, the planets aligned, God smiled, the Angels sang, Pux. Phil didn't see his shadow, the Cubs won the Pennant, and Einstein was wrong about Salami Waves, and I actually got the wicking right.

Was that a run-on sentence? Oh well. I try to keep the same wick. I'll ultrasonic the wick, but I'll also wash it under the tap. Just did that 5 minutes ago. Now vaping nicely. Still use the T-paper to dry it.

EDIT: I mean to say that I sometimes use the ultrasonic and I sometimes just rinse under the faucet.

If you've got Sally's it can have an off taste. You can pre-rinse it or soak it to remove any off taste.

Rayon dries extremely fast just barely touching one part to a paper towel. So you could wick it, set your tails and everything. Then drip water on it to soak the wick, fire it at lower power a few times then just lay it touching any part of the Rayon on a paper towel and it will be completely dry like new in no time, depending how much you fired it to evaporate the water.

I typically use the higher grades of rayon, so I don't have any issues with off taste.

Dont know if anyone had seen but Origin vape is actually selling Rayon on there site. 1st time I have ever seen anyone showing the box that we get from Sallys. 3ft for .99 Chalk up one for the rayonuts

Cool! Rayon Fiber Wick - Origin Vape

I figured it, it's 10ft for 99¢. Also they did say because it's synthetic its harmful if burned..

It's no more harmful than cotton if burned.. Or smoke from a cigarette. It's cellulose like a cigarette paper, and yeah carbon monoxide is harmful, but each cigarette continuously produces carbon monoxide when it's lit.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a clear, odorless gas that is produced by burning any carbon-based substance. So when tobacco is burned and inhaled, one of the 4,000 or more chemicals that enters the body is CO. When the smoke is inhaled into the lungs, CO is rapidly absorbed into the blood stream.

So, what is the best way to recharge my coils without having to rewick? I have to try to get more use out of this rayon before I change it out only because my coils are gunked.

How many mls of juice, and what kind of juice, how many watts, what atty?

If it's a gunker juice your best bet is to thin it as much as you can while maintaining good flavor. Your taste buds my need a minute to adjust but you may find you can use 1/3 to half the flavoring and get acceptable flavor and better longevity with less flavoring.

When switching to rayon it's recommended to reduce your nic and flavoring. Most have to reduce their nic by a 1/3 to keep the Intake level they were at before rayon. We also noticed we could reduce the flavoring needed by up to a 1/3.

I would be great if you were able to post a picture the coil gunked up.

It's a sad, sad, day here in SNJ. My Invader Mini has gone to that big vape cloud in the sky. It started asking "new coil" every time it was turned on and occasionally during use. Then it started showing "no atomizer" even though the same tank was still on it, undisturbed. I fooled around with it today, not much to actually fool with, and it's now firing but not delivering any power. RIP, Invader Mini, you were a trusty friend. I've had over two dozen mods since I've been vaping, and that doesn't include tons of Ego style and cig-a-like batteries, and this is only the second one to actually fail.

I just ordered a new one, love it for working outside or when taking a shower.

Noooo... say it ain't so, man! Sorry to hear about your loss, brother... you have my condolences. Mine is still hanging in there and doing it's thing. Definitely still the best rig for use while working on anything... can't say I've used it in the shower yet though...

Sitting down, facing forward.
Thanks for the condolences, Kaez. Heck, I ran mine under the faucet after working outside and it got really dusty. Maybe that's the problem?

Anyone order from Sweet Vapes? I ordered Monday and haven't heard a word, other than an order acknowledgement, since. I miss my Mini.

I just started using rayon a few weeks ago and I've been having some issues with it. No matter how i wick my lemo 2, tight lose, middle, doesnt matter, ill put in a brand new wick, prime it, fill it, vape it. I can take 30 puffs in a row and it will be the best vape ive ever had. But if i put it down and let it sit for more than 10mins, go back and take a puff, its always a horrible nasty burnt hit. If i take a few puffs i get full on flavor again. Its like the juice falls out of the coil and runs back into the tank or something. At least thats what it seems like. Any thoughts? Im a 6 wrap clapton 26g nichrome 80 core with 36g kanthal wrapped around it. .67ohms at 25-30w

I don't use Lemos, so this is just a general comment. If it seems to be going dry, are you trimming the tails down thin enough? Rayon needs to be trimmed to at least 50% starting close to the coil. Otherwise, it will wick backwards when not heated and "drain" the wick. That can produce "dry" hits and dark colored liquid in the tank. I use Foggers, heavily trimmed to the point that I always think they'll leak, and can run the tank and wick completely dry with no "dry" hits.

You'd think it would over saturate sitting if it's wicking from the tank. It's not just a flooded hit that needs more power is it?

Edit-
Re-read your post, it does sound more like maybe tails are too heavy.

Rayon rule #1

if new wick vapes great for a while then starts dry hitting you need to use more wick in the coil. Check the wick at end of coil there should be no gap, push down on it there should be no gap left. You will hit this point anywhere from 1- 24 hrs depending on density, vape frequency, and power levels. Air purges in this time and fibers begin to align together tighter.

#2
If your wick bends, curves, ect it needs to be thinned. On a lemo you should be doing at least an angled cut /... If not more... Position the wick where it will be on the deck, note where it bends. Thin the amount of rayon beyond the bend.

So I think you need more wick it's classic for a new user. Nearly every one of us went though it.. Your about to see the light.

Use more than you think is even possible to work in the coil. Less than you think is even possible in the tails.

i just went through a dry hitting build.
new coil and wick started out pretty good for about 10 to 15 mls.
then dry hit city, but not burnt.
thinned out my already thin tails , man i didnt realize how thick the tail was in my build until i started thinning it out again.
now its vaping like a champ.
so rethin the tails if getting dry unsaturated hits
