Does anyone have experience wicking the Griffin with rayon? I've tried and failed several times. All I get is burnt hits or no flavor (lots of vapor). Made a thread on GD but I was recommended to ask here.

Pictures would be extremely helpful, mostly of the tail length and shape, and how much is tucked in wicking hole

The Griffin appears to wick very much like the Cthulhu V2 but with larger juice channels. With the Cthulhu I thin the tails about 50%. With the wick/juice ring in place I put the wick tails just at the top of the juice channel and tuck a very small amount of the rayon into the channel so it's barely visible. This allows for good juice flow without choking the wick.

With the Griffin's large juice channels you may have to tuck the tails a little further in to avoid flooding, but I wouldn't fill them up like someone might do with cotton. Rayon will suck up the juice and stop dry hits as long as you don't choke it off.

Good luck.

Thanks for your advice. I used that method with the cotton, just barely under the wick ring. I probably need to thin the tails a lot

should thin to where u feel comfortable, then if u feel that its dry go back in and thin it some more, repeat thinning if desired vape is still not achieved.
but remember, leave it thick in the coil.
try to remove within the area as depicted in pic

my wick as an example for my stmini.
try getting thin as close to coil as possible.
lenght still needs to be cut in pic

I am trying that now and have still not been successful either.

Correct. The rayon is fanned out like a flower (or pancake) and none of the wick is touching the sleeve. Those holes are wide open and when you fill the tank and put it right side up there are giant air bubbles coming out as the juice fills the RBA. Since the wick essentially creates a wall it won't allow the juice to get through and come out the air holes in the base. I have not tried this method with anything other than the setup in my post, but I do plan to try it with temp control when my titanium wire shows up. I would be curious what it would be like with cotton or KGD.

Nick N----huge thanks for your pancake wick,, did it with rayon on my topbox rda (its a tiny monster!) so far this is working great! thanks again!

I finally got the wicking technique down right and I had to take it out. It was too sweet for me, I am so used to cotton that the rayon was actually overpowering. Thanks again for your advice everybody!
at first i was a tad overwhelmed,,then i turned down my settings (battery savings hopefully)--and this is probably the best flavoring vape i have had in a long time! (i am using Nick N's rayon pancake form with thinning as i worked away from the coil,, no leaks so far :)

Got my first tank today(lemo v1) the build was a pain after using velocity, stro mini v1, and other two posts decks exclusively for the last several months plus I used kanthal for the first time in forever since I currently only have one TC mod and my dripper isn't leaving it but the good news is thanks to rayon and what I've learned from using it in rdas I wicked it pretty dang near perfect first go. I was pretty ecstatic. Its just a simple build because it was just a first go but I'm liking it a lot so far. Plan on using it for bed time and things where its a pain to drip. Bit restrictive but I don't really mind it. I can still get a decent hit anyway.
