I guess everyone is happily using their rayon on this beautiful day. Problem free as usual.

So who's out there Today that's gonna finally decide that they have to try rayon wicking... Everyone's doing it and you dont even know the joy and freedom your missing out on.... Every day that goes by is another day you'll regret not trying it sooner.

OK, not the day you posted this, but close enough. My local B&M actually had some rayon balls so I decided to give it a try fairly cheap. Need to work on my wicking method a bit but so far I like it. Igo-w single coil build so this was just a simple test. This weekend I will give it a try in my Goblin mini, hopefully I can make it work without leaking issues. Also, haven't read this whole thread yet, but lot's of great info from what I've read so far.

Technique: Watch Super X Drifter wick using cotton, or whatever he uses. He rolls the ends into little tips with damp fingers.
Then be sure the wick cascades, or looks like a waterfall coming out of the sides of the coil/s. Fan out the ends in the juice well. Granted I've only wicked the terminator deck, seems though fairly universal for rdas.

Welcome to the group, Glad you took it for a spin!

Leaking will probably not be an issue. Rayon really attracts and holds juice in a tank system, cures many problems with different Rta's. Just cut the wicks at a 45° angle, with a little space from the coil, and leave tips just over or into the juice slots.

Your going to be wicking the deck looser than with cotton but dont worry, not only will rayon control the juice like a boss. It will also need a lot of flow from the tank to keep up with the wick speed.

The CoV Mini Volt arrived today and I just love it! A really tiny little mod that matches the Goblin Mini V2 and works perfectly.

The Hannya post-less RTA on the other hand is a total PoS!
    1. The tank glass spins and you can't tighten the top and bottom enough to hold it or keep it from leaking.
    2. There is machine swarf on every hole and slot, cleans up easily, but should not be there to start with.
    3. The best part, one of the positive screws will not tighten on the wire. It jumps loose just before it totally tightens.

You cannot close off airflow or juice control for a single coil build, it really needs duals. I managed to find a 2mm thick o-ring in my stash that fits and keeps the tank glass from spinning. Still useless though with the bad screw hole. These things are packaged with security stickers so the box wasn't opened and isn't an RMA.

Now to get a hold of 101 vape and see if they will send me a working replacement deck or take the whole thing back for exchange to a Serpent or something.

I hate defective schit, I could see if this weas an $8 FT take a chance job or some adjustment required... For $30 it should be half decent, the Goblin Mini V2 didin't even need to be washed and was totally clear of swarf.

So I had my first attempt at using rayon and I didn't encounter any issue wicking my atty, but... I think there can be a thing as TOO MUCH flavor. I was pleasantly surprised for the first half of my first tank but it looks like it reveals a character in my favorite juices that I'm not sure I like all that much. It's a little bit hard to describe, the throat hit seems increased and the first taste is great, but the after-taste, the one that lingers, is slightly unpleasant. I wonder if there's any general tricks on adjusting recipes for rayon...? I'm having the same experience with both commercial juices such as the Halo line and DIY brews - I tend to only vape things that are at least at 50% VG. I haven't tried NETs yet.

You could try adding a little VG, at first I had this issue with a couple of liquids but adding just a bit of VG fixed it.

People are gonna start talkin if we keep meeting like this Kaz.

Meh... let 'em talk. Haters gonna hate, brother.
I'm glad to see you're givin' the rayon a try. I've been using it for a while now... a year, or year and a half or so if I remember right. I ain't found an atty yet that doesn't benefit from a bit of rayon. :)

Thanks mate, I'll try to bump my VG ratio to 65% or so. Anything higher than that and I will probably start having dry-hit issues.

You're not likely to get dry-hit issues due to VG ratio with rayon. Almost all of my DIY mixes are 30pg/70vg and I have no issues in any of my tanks or RDAs. And Jeremy runs closer to 95-97% if I'm rememberin' right... it's all in how you pack the coils and trim the tails. With such thin juice, I'm surprised that you aren't already running into issues with over-saturation of the coils. :)
