I like single coils so I've been building my Aromamizer that way since I got it. The only difference is that I angle the coil a little to one side, like a Z coil. Don't really know if it makes any difference, that's just the way I started doing it.

The chimney funnels into the top tube right above the posts, and the air holes are below the coil when it's high like that, so the only way the air can get to the tube is through the coil. Not entirely positive that's the way it really works, but it sounds good so I'm sticking with it. ;)

Looks like it ends up working like the flash e-vapor air flow at that point.. Air hole is on the side, My coils right under the air tube so all air has to pass it before exiting.

I'm strongly considering the acquisition of a Boreas... how hard is it to wick that tank? I'm sure that someone here has made the attempt, so I figured I'd look for a little expert opinion. ;)

I'm also looking at the CoilArt Mage. Dunno why, but I kinda like the look of that one.

The air comes in from the sides on the Aromamizer as well. The holes in the bottom of the deck are juice ports.

Hi guys, Hi Jeremey. Just checking in ...

Hey aal, hope things are going well. We haven't heard much about Greece lately in the states, with all the political stuff here.. I was really glad to see the brexit vote go through.. I was pulling for them.. I'm sure Greece isn't too fond of the Eu.

If you've ever wicked an Aromamizer, the Boreas wicks exactly the same way. The wicks are thinned to some degree and tucked underneath the coil on both ends to cover the juice holes. You just have to make sure your coil is a little high so that there's ample space underneath to allow for airflow. It's quite easy once you do it a few times. The only problem with these RTDAs is that they tend to leak if laid on their side. Other than that they are my absolute favorites.

Vaping it right now.. Over two years since I got the tank... Still a favorite, just works so well and it's so tough, it's hard to beat the vape from it.. I'm going to add the v4 to my line-up soon. I believe it has the biggest air flow out the box.. I have a v2 and v3 drilled to about 3mm.

I like the side air flow better than bottom air, just a smoother draw, more like a dripper.

Thank ya, Thay! I've not wicked an Aromamizer, but it kinda sounds like how to wick an old Magma. Is that close? The only tanks I've wicked are Silver Play and Orchid styles. I'm trying to branch out... LOL. I'll finally be picking up a kayfun... I've gotten way too used to RDAs!

It's a similar idea, but the holes on the bottom of the Boreas and Aromamizer decks are where the juice comes up to feed the wicks, so you want them covered but not blocked. The airflow is on the side so that's why you want to make sure there's an opening under the wicks. Of course you don't need nearly as long or thick tails as I've seen used in the Magma since we're using rayon and we don't have to stuff in order to wick well. ;)

I'm just getting the hang of the single vertical, now tejas gets me thinking I should use horizontal...

Gotcha. That's kinda what I had in mind to begin with. Just wondering how much tail to put into the holes now. I already thin my tails out pretty thin, both in RDAs and the Silver Play. The Boreas looks like a completely different animal, though. I'm sure I'll understand it a lot better once I get it in my hand, though.

As far as laying it down, that's not much of a problem. I've gotten in the habit of keeping everything standing up because most RDAs will leak if you lay them down. Haven't even tested the Silver Play to see if it can handle being laid down. I'd rather not have to clean up the mess if it does...

You don't put any of the tail down into the juice holes. You only lay the tails over the top of them. If you press them down too tightly you may end up with dry hits, although much less likely with rayon than cotton.

Awesome! Thank you! Now I can't wait to get one so I can start playin' with it. :p

I know that, with the Silver Play, I actually put the tails all the way down in the juice channels. I'd never try that with cotton. There's no way it would wick. But rayon doesn't seem to have a problem with it, and it seems to help get that very last drop out of the tank. I posted some pics of the way I build on the SP a while back... don't remember if it was in Part 1 or Part 2, though...

View attachment 571695 @JeremyR Hey bro. The wife gave me this. Wasn't it melatonin that you used to get the rayon? This looks and feels like rayon to me. It doesn't have a smell at all.

They carry this at my local Walgreens and I think I'm about out of Melatonin anyway. I'm gonna pop in, pick some up and give it a whirl next time I drive by there. The absolute cheapest source of rayon is that source that includes it incidentally to something you would purchase regardless. The older I get, the more trouble I have getting to sleep. Melatonin helps and is a preferable alternative to prescriptions or other over the counter sleep aids, so, rayon or not, I would be getting some anyway. It's a win/win.

BTW, this Limitless RDTA is blowing everything else I have away. It's not even close. I thought that how fast it goes through 4ml would preclude my using it as my #1 all day unit, but, since I DIY and filling it is so quick and stupid easy, I'm walking that back. The performance to trouble ratio trade off isn't even worthy of consideration. The Limitless rocks. If you've been considering getting one, just do it. You'll thank me later.

What are you using for a drip tip? Single or dual coil? (or did you post that before)

That's what's cool about the Boreas and Aromamizers, they don't have those darn juice channels where you have to figure out how much, if any, rayon to put in them to wick properly. The juice holes are drilled directly into the floor of the deck with the juice pooled underneath, so with the wick laying on top of them, the juice is drawn up into the wick with the inhale.

I'm using the shorty drip tip that came with it, but I have no spit back or temperature issues. I'm using dual spaced 8 wrap SS coils (there's plenty of room for 9 or 10 wraps) reading 0.2 ohms. I have it in TC mode on my RX200 at 70 watts/440 degrees F with a 0105 TCR setting on M1 since I'm using 304 SS. I might order the Griffin 510 adapter from Kidney Puncher for...I think 3 or 4 bucks. That should work, but I have zero problems exactly like it is. I'm lovin' it.

That does sound pretty awesome. I keep hearing great things about the Boreas, I just couldn't quite figure out how to wick it from looking at pictures. I guess it's time for me to step up and grab one!
