I wicked my Billow V1 last night, My coils are 2.4mm in diameter 8 wraps of 24G Kanthal. Was really challenging pulling the rayon through and your advice Jeremy of pulling the ends to get the rayon taut like some strings Im sure will make life much easier wicking.

Very interesting material how the ropes of rayon that comes out the box sort of breaks off like a piece of cotton candy lol

Id give myself probably a D+ grade the first time wicking. Whats amazing though is the taste is better even with the poor wicking than my Puffs Japanese cotton. Its just hitting a bit harsh, slightly dry.

I will have to watch your videos Jeremy. I was thinking that last night that I need to check out some youtube tutorials

Cant wait to pair the rayon with some TC Wire! I got some 316L Stainless Steel wire that should be arriving today, so my tanks, the Billow, Orchid and soon a black Cthulhu will be vaping really clean!

My first SS Build I want to try a spaced coil for something different(always just wrapped contact coils). Im going to have to learn if I ever want to give titanium wire a try.

If you have any lower nic liquid you might want to try that as well before rewicking, if you haven't already decreased your level. With the increased performance of rayon vs. cotton you're going to be vaporizing more juice, which means more nicotine, which means more of a hit from the same mg level when compared to cotton. Though you may be able to tell the difference in the harshness already and know it's not the nic level, just wanted to throw that out there!

Right now I use a really high nic level. Dont really wanna say lol its so high I have to make it myself. But im sure its partly because im somewhat out of my depth doing rebuildables and I dont get the best cloud production LOL. I mean im not terrible I can wrap decent coil(s) and have it come out to 0.3 ohm or whatever I need but compared to other folks here at ECF im like in the minor leagues.

Still learning so any tips as simple as they may seem to most of the community is really helpful. I think im going to get my ipad out today find a decent "wicking rayon video" maybe one of Jeremy's and have that on the table next to me when wicking.

Thats how I taught myself to wrap a coil on the precision screwdrivers.


But yeah at any rate Ive saved so much money since quitting Marlboro Reds everyday, and I make my own juice too, mostly to save money but also very few vendors sell my "custom" nic level of 40mg.

Most people would probably get sick to their stomach or get crazy light headed but I just have a high tolerance to pretty much everything. Been that way my whole life. But would be cool to maybe reduce to 36 once I can get my tanks producing like fog machines the more I improve rebuilding

MFS has 36mg & 48mg nic base using 100% PG all the way up to 100% VG. You could just add some flavor to the 48mg VG base and you'd be good to go with the Clouds Bro.





Honestly I'm just having a little fun with you, wicking does take a while to get onto and perfect. I am far from that point myself.

Don't feel too bad, Chris. I was on 42mg and 36mg for several years before I started reducing my nic level. My current batch is 7.5mg (on sub-ohm builds), so I've come down a LONG way... but that's over a 6 year stretch. Just don't rush the drop and let your body adjust as you start coming down.

Be careful... When you get the Rayon just right and see that you can crank up the power higher than you ever were able to before with whatever tank...your nic is gonna kick your ars. You should see a 25% increase in nic absorption. Make that 40 like 50! Then you can reduce the nic.. I'm sure it will be a lovely feeling for you, catching that nic buzz. ..

I use EJuiceMeUp. I bought 250 ML of 100mg Max VG base awhile back from a really good local vendor in Orlando called Vice's Electronic Cigarettes, always get my Nic Base from them in like 1 day (live pretty close to Orlando) and the prices are quite good.

But yeah I end up making 40 MG Nic Juice and I like about 60% VG/40% PG. I've been making juice and rebuilding now since about March. To this point I would say my favorite Flavors are Capella Cinnamon Coffee Cake, TFA Cinnamon Red Hots, Flavor Art Whipped Cream and Flavor West Red Apple. Ive have probably tried around 30 flavors and its very tricky a lot of my batches dont turn out so good but I have a simple recipe that mixes Capella Cinnamon Coffee Cake, TFA Red Hots and FA Whipped Cream which is my daily vape that I love.

Well you kinda shot my interest in the aromizer..lol..lol.. Its really cool how they made the tank and air.. But I couldnt use that hideous band.. I mean you know how sleek and simplistic my ADC is.

I'm running a .62 ss43) right now... I like to fill it up with coil fpr flavor though like my old parallel 32s...

I tried a parallel 28g ss last night.. managed to get it to .4 ohms.. But alas the evic won't hold the ss build in tc. The vt seems to only like ss430 at .5-.6 range or it jumps out of temp mode.

What makes me not want an Aromamizer is that it's a crapshoot if your airholes (well, two of them anyway) line up with your coils or not.
The design in general is very smart and intruiging, but not thought 100% through.

You are very hard pressed to find something as easy to build, wick and maintain as a FeV that is totally leak proof and performs great.

I get that it's dirt cheap, I just don't want a huge ... box of something I'm not sure I'll keep using, heh. Are there any vendors out there just selling little packs equivalent to the 5-sheeter cotton packs everyone sells?

I did say the FEV V3 is ALMOST as good as the Aromamizer. There are significant differences though. The Aromamizer does put out a lot more vapor although the flavor is, basically, on a par between both. The FEV only has one air hole that maxs out at about 3mm versus the Aromamizer at four, 3mm, air holes. That makes a very significant difference. I like a more airy draw and may do some machining on the FEV to add at least one more 3mm air hole.

I like them both, but definitely prefer the Aromamizer because of the wide open draw. On the other hand I also like the FEV for its' outstanding durability and performance as a single coil, single air hole, atomizer. So far the only leaks I've seen with the aromamizer is when re-filling and condensation from the coil chamber leaks out the top since it's sitting upside down for filling. That's easily avoided by wiping out the chamber prior to filling. No leaks at all once filled and in use.

I'll prolly get one anyway once they become available again in Germany.

I have a drilled out dual airhole FeV (two x 3mm).

Works fine, if you finally have the duals mounted without them shorting.
Of course, the draw will be restricted by the narrow chimney, no matter how many airholes you drill in the chamber.

That's an advantage of the Aromamizer I forgot to mention, the wide open chimney to handle those four air holes.

Hey, there are many people and even vape stores that are selling repackaged Sally's cellucotton rayon in little bags.. For 2-$5. EBay and amazon too. Not the best senarios but it should be fine. You can pick up a box of ku's at the store if you just want to try the fiber quick. Yes there is a company in France that have a product in a small package, but they disoriented the fiber to make into a sheet, not good, it will not work as well.

It kinda bugs me out that people go ape.... about it, when they could buy a 5 year stock via DM balls for basicly nothing.

The 40 Ft Box is like the size of a box of Kleenex. I was originally going to get this size but my Sallys only had the 500ft and the 3 lb.

Honestly for 15 Bucks the 500 ft huge box im kind of glad I got. During the learning process I dont have to worry one bit about wasting any.

Anyway im off to wick for a 2nd time but this time some 316L SS coils, so excited about this TC and Rayon should be a really clean vaping experience

True, but Twinkies taste better although rayon tastes better in a coil...Twinkies just don't wick very well and are very hard to get through the coil in one piece.

Well 2nd wicking attempt not a complete success but I believe I did a good job with the rayon it was just my first time with SS wire and using 28g I think I went a little too thin. Im used to 24 or 26G Kanthal but SS has half the resistance so thought itd be easier to fit the coils onto the deck and close properly with the chimney with the thinner more resistant wire. At first I got .35 Ohm dual coil build 5 wraps each around 3mm bit but now it reads like .83 ohms so obviously one of the coils broke inside the tank! LOL how does this happen with Stainless steel? Surprised at how soft the wire is.

Also the TC mode on the XCube II I have it activated but thats about it I need to figure out the coefficient for 316L wire for starters, man do I have a lot to learn may need to go back to Kanthal for awhile until I actually learn the fundamentals of what materials im working with and what im doing

Okay, finally hit the 100ml mark on my first set of Titanium coils. They were installed on Nov. 4th and the only maintenance I've had to do was I had a loose post screw that needed tightening. Other than that, it's just been 'add juice, swap battery, and vape'. I'm loving this low maintenance with temp control! I gotta admit, these coils and wicks are looking waaaay better than any of my other set-ups after a week of non-stop vaping!
