Not as slick as this coil winder, and it'll be 1/3 the price and I guarantee it'll do a better job, including parallel coils...and no coil squeeze required to close those little gaps.

OK - I'll bite.
I assume it is the slender gadget in your hand. How much and your coil look perfect.

I'm involved with the designer and manufacturer Holman, I'll keep you all posted on it's release date...I believe the price point will be around $ 30.00, possibly less. That's all I can tell you at this point.

Gee... I have to wait. Argh!!!

Keep me posted PM me when they become available. I like shinny things with red dots.

I don't really understand the need for something like that. I wrap my own on drillbits... not exactly rocket science. Getting it mounted is twice or ten times as hard as just wrapping the silly thing.

Andria

That's what I've been doing and it's worked but I struggle. I have permanent nerve damage in my neck, it's left me with weakness, numbness and shaking in my hands, sometimes it's bad and very damn frustrating. I bought a small vise that claps to the edge of a bench or desk and that's been very handy for me since I've had this problem, if I can lay my wrists against something the shaking isn't as bad. I'll be able to clamp that jig in the vise, well that's my thinking anyways.

This is the vise, it's very handy if anyone is interested. http://www.harborfreight.com/2-1-2-half-inch-table-swivel-vise-97160.html
Here's a link for a 25% off coupon you can use online or print. http://www.harborfreight.com/20off-...medium=aff&utm_campaign=wts-coupons&hftref=cj

Some of their stuff is plain junk, this is a good one though, swivels in all direction and is well made. The jaws are held on by screws, I took them off and glued tiny earth magnets flush in screw holes so I can pop them on and off. Then I made a pair of brass jaws from some scrap I had in the shop, drilled them and glued magnets in those as well. I use the brass jaws for holding my clearo coils, dripper and Fogger while I coils and wick them. I can tighten eough on the 510 threads without hurting them, you could use a thick piece of leather instead of brass jaws.

Wish you had told me that before I bought the one I have that I don't use because it is easier to wrap it on a drill bit.

Actually I sometimes use it as a atty holder while rebuilding. It has a hole thread for 510 in the middle. Not a total waste.

Thank you sir! It's only $11 shipped, good deal. Have you done business with them before?

Not everyone is a pro at wrapping coils fellas, and this device will help those that aren't, just wanted to share it. I know many that are pros at coil building, they found this tool very effective at wrapping a perfect coil very quickly including a perfect parallel coil. But hey...if it's not for you that's cool.

I have done business with them several times. When they put something up on sale you can't even beat it with FastTech prices.

They ship fast if you ordered tonight you will probably have a shipping notice and tracking number by noon tomorrow.

I'd love to see it. Always on the lookout for new things to make life easier, and under $30 is within the realm of reasonable. :) But that box thing for $117 was just not happening.

Ya know Cindy I have seen that sort of thing on eBay fairly often. I don't know what the deal is but they usually hang a lot of search tags on the item so almost any search will bring up their item. I guess they just run them and catch people that have more money than common sense.

"New Things", glad to see I am not the only person hear that is addicted to new gadgets. Besides it keeps me even with what I would have spent on cigarettes.

Just puttin this here from biotecharticles.com as an FYI, it's important to share all sides then let the individual decide:

Toxic Fibers and Fabrics

Rayon: Viscose or rayon is derived from cellulose of wood pulp or bamboo. Cellulose is natural starting material but it is processed by chemical treatments involving carbon disulphide, sulfuric acid, chlorine and caustic soda. Carbon disulphide is released into the environment in gaseous form alongwith other 3 hazardous chemicals. Their combined toxic effects are carried on heart, skin and nervous system. Carbon disulphide poisoning is similar to alcohol intoxication causing restlessness, unconsciousness, depression and sometimes death. Carbon disulphide is also emitted from rayon fabric. Ill health effects like nausea, vomiting, headache, chest and muscle pain and insomnia can be observed in people who wear rayon clothing regularly. Other toxicity effects are tissue necrosis, anorexia, polyneuropathy, paralysis, insomnia and Parkinson's disease. Chronic toxic effects on aquatic system, death or low growth of plants, shortened life span and reproductive effects in animals are also associated with toxicity caused by rayon factory effluents.
I understand this post is 530-some pages old, and I too am skeptical about using Rayon for health reasons, but Anorexia??

If that were the case half the modeling world would be vaping with rayon. That seems to be going a little far.. gonna keep reading on this thread.

In the '80s, EVERYTHING I wore was rayon (to go with the big hair), and I'm still here! :thumb::laugh:

When I quit smoking and started vaping it took 4 days before I put down my camels after I started vaping. The cravings and feeling like I was missing more than just nicotine lasted a few weeks. I just vaped my brains out during that time. I'm positive I was addicted to more than just the nic.

When I got my MVP2/Protank2, I had zero urge for cigs instantly. I tried a few drags off a half-pack I still had about a week after starting the vape and I couldnt stand it. I threw the cig and half-pack out and havent smoked analogs for 3 months now.

I think its different for different people. For me, I think its the act of "smoking". Its the "take a break and have a smoke (relax)". When I was in the Navy as an aircraft electrician (AE), there was (unbeknownst to me until I became an E5) an inside secret among the supervisors. If a piece of gear was stumping me, they would politely "suggest" for me to take a break and go have a cig. I cant tell you how many times simply doing that had me coming back in the shop 5 minutes later with a solution. It was the break- the stepping away- and perhaps the nicotine too.

Vaping fills this in perfectly. I smoked 1 to 1.5 packs a day for 12 years; I now am vaping 12mg juice exclusively (started on 18), and with my Russian (when it worked- having feed issues atm), I got nic-sick within 4-5 hits, so Ill prolly drop to 9mg soon. But it still provides me with that break... and ostensibly without all the negative side affects.

Anyways, back to rayon :D

That reminds me of a few quotes iv heard pardon me if i fudge them up a little.
"I came into this world kicking, screaming and covered in blood. I have no problem leaving it that way."
"and i can't remember the other one lol'
But hey with all the toxins emitted by cars, plants, fossil fuels, floride in are tap water(usa) we all can't expect to leave this world in our sleep.

But back to the topic.
Here's what day 3 i believe of these wicks, various juices - clear, dark, oil-based, sweetend, unsweetend, 50v-50p - 93v-7p. Roughly 25ml (i know its a lot but its 3-6mg nic ) and i thin they look great!

Yeah, I hear you. I think im going to give rayon a shot..

If you're really committed to reading all 540 pages of this thread, have at it, but I've been here since page 72 and I'm here to tell you, every bit of trolling that's been done on this thread has been debunked. Jeremy will come along and lay on some helpful keywords for searches regarding all of the research he's done (ahem Jeremy) to make your research a little easier. You can also use the search function to look for your device (e.g. "Kayfun") to help with wicking techniques/issues. Or you can ask, and somebody will come along and answer. Big thread, lots of people. :)
