That reminds me of a few quotes iv heard pardon me if i fudge them up a little.
"I came into this world kicking, screaming and covered in blood. I have no problem leaving it that way."
"and i can't remember the other one lol'
But hey with all the toxins emitted by cars, plants, fossil fuels, floride in are tap water(usa) we all can't expect to leave this world in our sleep.

But back to the topic.
Here's what day 3 i believe of these wicks, various juices - clear, dark, oil-based, sweetend, unsweetend, 50v-50p - 93v-7p. Roughly 25ml (i know its a lot but its 3-6mg nic ) and i thin they look great!

If you're really committed to reading all 540 pages of this thread, have at it, but I've been here since page 72 and I'm here to tell you, every bit of trolling that's been done on this thread has been debunked. Jeremy will come along and lay on some helpful keywords for searches regarding all of the research he's done (ahem Jeremy) to make your research a little easier. You can also use the search function to look for your device (e.g. "kayfun") to help with wicking techniques/issues. Or you can ask, and somebody will come along and answer. Big thread, lots of people. :)
I *think* I have that issue figured out; I think its due to the center pin airhole not being lined up with the external base airhole. Unfortunately I must wait until I get my isolators in the mail (should be here late today) since I lost one to the local sewer system :( Guys on the MVP2 thread helped me out, and I have a good base, nice juice channels, the right wick setup (which is cotton until I get some rayon), good coil, etc.

Anyways, I think boiling rayon in some distilled water will be enough for me (and I doubt its necessary). I think there is a propensity to favor all natural things in the vaping world and in general, but thats not necessarily any better. Weed is natural- its not good for your lungs and prolly not your cardiovascular system either. Safe is sort of subjective: plenty of prescription drugs have totally scary side effects- prolly 20 times worse than rayon- and yet theyre approved by the FDA. The fact that rayon doesnt really seem to "burn" in everyones coils indicates that you wouldnt be receiving any toxic fumes anyways. Thanks for the advice :D

The super clean, slightly-higher-quality version of rayon are the rayon balls, which can be purchased here: Delasco
I don't remember them being pharmaceutical grade, but I know they're used to clean lesions and stuff. Very clean and no rinsing necessary.

Most of us use Graham CelluCotton (myself included), the long coil in the big box, used in beauty salons around the face to catch the drippings when one gets their hair colored or permed. Most of us just use it straight out of the box with no off-taste or ill effects (myself included). Also very clean, but I think the balls might've gotten an extra rinse.

To try a small amount, go to Walmart and buy a bottle of Spring Valley Melatonin - the stuffing is rayon.

I understand this post is 530-some pages old, and I too am skeptical about using Rayon for health reasons, but Anorexia??

If that were the case half the modeling world would be vaping with rayon. That seems to be going a little far.. gonna keep reading on this thread.

To try to save you some time...What is being discussed in that article is the fabric, rayon, and the effects of the chemicals used in processing it. When rayon fabric is made many chemicals are used to give it durability and a nice "feel". Those chemicals are added to what is being used for wicks, pure cellulose fiber. The cellulose fiber has been processed with those nasty chemicals, but during the processing they are removed and produce a clean, chemical free, fiber that requires additional chemical and processing to make the yarn and fabric of rayon. Nasty chemicals, like lye and kerosene, are used to manufacture VG and nicotine while PG is even worse, yet the products we use are free of them. No magic here at all!

When it comes to winding coils I like to make it as easy as possible. Waving my hand around a drill bit, or other mandrel type, just seems a little on the messy side to me. I solved it by using a blunt needle with a little hook mounted on it. That little hook holds one end of the wire solidly while spinning the needle, by the syringe end, between a thumb and forefinger while feeding the wire with the other thumb and fore finger. I have a set of 14ga, 16ga and 18ga which seem to work for anything I have wanted to build, so far, and cost under a buck a piece. All it takes is a little stiff wire and a few drops of epoxy.

Sorry about the soft focus, but you get the idea.

Speaking of coil winding, I use the Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo ($11). It came with 5 mandrels. 4.5, 4, 3, 1.5, and 1.0mm. My first coils were with the 1.5 mm mandrel. Tried a couple with the 3mm. I didn't really like either so I ended up finding a coat hanger that was in between the 1.5-3mm mandrels so it's approximately 2mm or so. Perfect coils every time. By putting tension on the wire when wrapping, I hardly have to pinch the coils after mounting.

Here's my results. Wrapped these for the last build on my Magma...

Yeah continue reading; that information was completely debunked, absolutely nothing to back her claims.

I have read real scientific chemistry BOOKS on rayon production. The problem is there have been so many safety & research posts to bring together.

I would recommend jumping to post 300 for any new readers. Then around post 1000 and read.

I have attempted to put important posts together in my blog that you can review. Under my avatar it says blog - click on the number. Or here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/jeremyr/

This will take you through to post 1200. After that I ended up with so many to post that it was too large for a blog post..

To put it short for you - NO ONE has provided any real evidence that there is anything harmful with virgin rayon fibers that we use. It's pure cellulose purer than can be found in nature.

Thread search works great in This thread.

So you made the hook by just wrapping a bit of wire, heavier gauge than the Kanthal A1, around the needle, bent the end into a hook and just epoxied the whole thing onto the needle?

Yup, that's all I did. I have one that has a hook made out of 29ga Kanthal. With a hook that small even small diameters have enough strength to hold thing solidly. Once the first full wrap is on there is very little stress on the hook. I have moved the location of the "hook" so it is tight against the plastic of the syringe mount. The wrap can be made as tightly spaced or open as you like with very little effort and can be easily adjusted while on the needle.

It's a new world record!!! Approximately 55ml of (nasty ol') Boba's Bounty on the same wicks!...the last 3-4 ml was pretty crappy

Fogger V4.2, dual 28ga x 2.2dia x 8wraps, .67ohms vaped at 20-22 watts, regulated

Man, I love this wick material

Next set of wicks lasted <15ml......!

Im still pushing 30ml on my TOBH what's the record i need something to shoot for lol,

On another note my vcore kanger head is not working out, of course i could never get it with cotton neither lol, just got my mamu inspired vamo/arlo mod (almost) built so Im going to re coil it around 1.3ohm horizontal I've always preferred a wick through coil over wraped, tied, or a bed Anywhos.
