Very nice, looks like its similar in design to a kayfun... how's the vapor production?

the flavor is a tad less "sharp" than a kayfun but still so damn good.

The vapor production destroys a kayfun by a mile. I'm vaping 70pg and I can fog up my man cave. I love the fogger. 28 bucks for an authentic RTA built for dual coils. And it performs SUBLIME when going hard wattage. Pretty much the perfect match for rayon. Factoring VD, it's a perfect vape at 32 watts.

I'm involved with the designer and manufacturer Holman, I'll keep you all posted on it's release date...I believe the price point will be around $ 30.00, possibly less. That's all I can tell you at this point.

Gee... I have to wait. Argh!!!

Keep me posted PM me when they become available. I like shinny things with red dots.

I, too, like shiny new things. Let me know when it's available Cuz I'm a sucker for new toys.

Speaking of coil winding, I use the Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo ($11). It came with 5 mandrels. 4.5, 4, 3, 1.5, and 1.0mm. My first coils were with the 1.5 mm mandrel. Tried a couple with the 3mm. I didn't really like either so I ended up finding a coat hanger that was in between the 1.5-3mm mandrels so it's approximately 2mm or so. Perfect coils every time. By putting tension on the wire when wrapping, I hardly have to pinch the coils after mounting.

Here's my results. Wrapped these for the last build on my Magma...

Yup, that thing is super easy and $12 at your local hobby store.

I need to purchase some stock in Sally's. :D

And did any of you notice, on that Israeli page.. they're showing the box for the cotton, not the rayon.

Well I just wicked a setup that I've been using a few days with cotton and replaced it with Rayon I got from a pharmaceutical bottle and I'm very impressed. I put a little less than I would use with cotton and trimmed the tails into a diamond shape. The build is a simple 22 gauge microcoils, 6 wraps, and .19 ohms but the airflow under the coil keeps it fairly cool.

The Rayon does seem to have a cleaner hit. The taste is a little sharper and it definitely wicks a lot better than cotton. The tiny knots in cotton fibers can prevent even wicking and a single part of the cotton will burn. I haven't used Koh Gen Do or other Japanese cotton/cotton pads so I don't know if those solve that issue. Even though the Rayon doesn't absorb the fluid, it seems like it holds a lot more than cotton.

After 40 or so mL's of juice on this same wick at .19 ohms, it's still running strong. I tugged out the part inside the coil to see how it looked, and it had the faintest yellow-brown tint so I left it in. I'm going to leave it in for another day or so and then I'll probably change it to see if I notice a difference in flavor with a fresh wick.

Rayon is definitely much better than cotton balls.

Thought I'd chime in real quick, ended up going back to a different wicking style resembling something several million pages back in the thread. Thread rayon through coil like normal, and rather than fanning out the tails, just splitting the tails about 3/4 of the thickness and snipping the thicker segment off each side with scissors as close to the coil as I can, then trimming the rest to length. What really seems to have improved my results is positioning the rayon before saturating it, instead of after like I had been, which makes sense to me now since saturated those fibers grip each other and any bending after that will cause them to change the shape of the wick leading to the inconsistencies.

Seems to be the most effective solution so far for me. Doing the splitting & snipping is so much faster and easier than fanning & cutting on a diagonal and much easier to be consistent. Couldn't be happier.

My wife has a set of these --> http://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-9921-...&qid=1408321611&sr=8-1&keywords=fiskers+micro and they work great but she gets upset if I use her stuff since I ruin a set years ago. I was just looking on Amazon a couple days ago and found your snips for $1.57 with free shipping --> http://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-Razor-...8&qid=1408321535&sr=8-9&keywords=thread+snips

I was going to order them if I couldn't find something local, I found a similar at Joann Fabric's on sale for $4 and your right, they do work well. I'm going to order a couple off Amazon, can't beat that price.

Thanks for the tip :2c: I just dropped entire $1.57 on Amazon.com

You can go either way as long as they don't cross. You'll get less gunking if they are slightly spaced . Coil in the video is spaced. I wind a tight micro coil then lightly stretch it to give an even spacing use a needle to even out. Leave the mandrel you coil on in the coil when you mount it to keep it in good shape. Look at other threads like the micro coil thread

As I said, I'm in new to building coils. When you answer please speak in beginners terms like when you started. I don't know what you mean when you say," You can go either way as long as they don't cross". To me it looks like there's an inner coil with another coil wraped around it and the top coil looks like it crossed the inner, they don't run parrellel. The only reason I picked the picture post out to ask my question. Is because the coils have to be touching, I'm not trying to build a coil like this one(inner & outer coil)

The only question I wanted to know is on a single coil that is like the ones found in clearomizers. Can the coils touch like a spring or is it better to have tiny spaces between each coil. Or can part of the coil be spaced and the other half be touching. I just want to be safe.
