Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

Different people experience things well, uh, differently. Isn't it great though that we are discovering more and more wicking materials so that there are many alternatives and hopefully, everyone can find their happy place.



I saw that coil when deedupex first did it and thought meh, I don't see the benefit. As soon as I saw where you called it the "flavor split" method I got an ah-ha! moment. I need to recoil my Magma today and that build looks like it will be perfect having that gap right over the air hole. Can't wait to try it out.

I've got this on my Patriot currently but getting ready to rebuild my Plume Veil and its getting the same treatment... just not quite so low (.25 ohms). The PV can handle it, its just a bit too hot for my liking. Im thinking somewhere in the mid .3 range

Do the coils glow evenly though with these methods? I would expect the centre coils to heat up first and fastest, then the outer coils to slowly heat to temp. Would that not create inconsistent heating compared to a fully compressed coil?

Mine still glows like a typical microcoil actually. I deliberately chose a mid-fire shot to show the wires. At full firing, the entire thing glows evenly

Keep in mind that there's much less radiative interaction when the coils are wet with juice than when they're dry.

You might want to try the "flavor split" method. Make a couple wraps then leave a gap (about 1 wrap's worth of space or more) and start wrapping your coil again.

The difference in resistance will be tiny and it seems to help with gunking and boosts flavor output.

An extreme version of the same technique.

Well. I've been running off samples of rayon and I'm finally out.

Drive 30 mins to pick it up, plus a top coat clear nail polish for my syringes

Yeah. I couldn't find it at first and had to ask the lady working there. She gave me the hmm? look before grabbing the last box from the storeroom. Paid up and turned to walk away and I saw the rack of nail polish and realized I needed the clear ones but had NO clue what I should be getting (bottom coat? Top coat? WHY are there so many coats for the nails?!)

Had to ask the lady to pick one up for me. She gave me the Hmm? look again.

It's not everyday you see a 230lb military guy going into a beauty store asking for rayon and nail polish, I'll give her that

I would have told her the cc is for cleaning grout and the polish is cuz I like to dress up on the weekends.

HAHAH. Funniest thing EVER.

I opened up my box of rayon and was just pulling out bunches trying to find the start of the roll.

The missus walks in and says: "you look like a zombie pulling out albino intestines. From a box. God you're so weird"

And then it dawned on me...


(No. Not that I'm weird.)

Those things do look like intestines!

So. I'm in a chatty mood. Here's a build with my newly acquired rayon on my taifun gt

1) use a whole load of rayon. Let the squeaky rayon song of love serenade you as you pull it through. I like to majorly overstuff it, then pull both ends till the squeak sounds and feels right. If I need minor adjustments, I just pull a tiny bunch on one end, and the entire strands of fibers will pull off along with it.

2) I use a little juice on the wick at the shoulder of the coil

3) snip off an angle

4) let that tiny bit through the slot

Bam. Vaping like a boss. No weird taste or anything.

Will check back in a few hours to see how the wick is.
