Well that's not as low as I thought, but BC a carto tank setup like that doesn't have a lot of air flow I'd imagine that is still the reason.

Does it get hot, can you feel heat on the tank?

I raise the tank a smigin (sp) to get good airflow. The tank doesn't get hot and neither does the atty chimney that sticks out of the top cap . The drip tip doesn't get hot either. When I look at the wick and coil they are soaked so there is no burning going on. When my juice turns brown it doesn't taste burnt, just off. It's a stumper. :(

I'm sorry but I don't understand what I just read or how it applies to my problem. Can you explain in layman terms?
Sugar/s in juice. Heated to make vapor. Heat makes carbon from the juice, carbon is darkening your juice.

Same block of crud on a heavily used coil, it's just dispersing into the liquid reservoir first, darkening it.

It's 101% normal/S.O.P. for most flavored juices. VG as well.

Tank is a Phiniac and atty is a Sophia.

Anywhere from 1.5 to 2.4 ohms. You could be right about the Phiniac tanks but I don't have any other cartos tanks to test that theory. I know someone that has 16 of these Sophias and uses Phiniac tanks and he's stumped by this. He doesn't have this problem and has never heard of it happening before.

No fair! I've really been wanting a Sophia, but haven't been able to find one (without slow-boatin' it from Greece or something)

But can this happen in just 2ml when the coils are still like new?

Yes. Each time heat is applied a little is generated. The physics do not choose one fire or the other. If your coils are firing, it's happening.

Does it bother you aesthetically?

No, not aesthetically but the flavor is off.

My friend with the 16 sophias isn't having this problem so there has to be something different from what he is doing/using. I'll have to quiz him some more.

How many ml of juice do others here get out of their Kayfun while wicking with Rayon? Since learning on this thread how to wick rayon correctly I couldn't be happier my only negative is that I can only get a tank or two before I need dry burn my coil because it's completely gunked black and I can taste burnt flavor when it's time to dry burn. My setup usually consists of 28 gauge coil, 5/64 ID running at 1.2 ohms on my nemesis mod. I do vape a sweeter juice (Hawk Sauce from MBV) it's my favorite. Does this sound about normal for tank intervals between rewicking rayon on Kayfun Lite? Any help is much appreciated thank you.

I get a little longer out of a CC wick in a R91 than organic cotton. Can't say how many ml's as I've got a few in rotation. So maybe 1/2 to 2/3 a tank per day for 3 or 4 days (just guessing here). I don't think anyone has reported 50, 60, 80 mls in a Kayfun though. I'm thinking the droppers are getting such great longevity because the chamber is bigger and and the 'condensation' isn't concentrated on dropping on the coil like the Kayfun/R91's smaller chamber (just my wild axx guess).

I too ould like to hear more from Kayfun/Taifun/Russian users about wick longevity.

Well folks, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support and knowledge.
Rayon has been wonderful, but it's just not cutting it anymore....

Someone even more mysterious than I had this delivered to me in an unmarked envelope by a large man in dark glasses.
