Hey everyone, so I'm finally looking to upgrade from my zmax after more than a year.
I am not buying a dna40.
The main need for the mod is that it take dual 18650's. I will not buy a single battery mod. Secondly I do want 50w or more.
Right now I'm strongly considering the eleaf istick 50w. Its dual 18650 built in.. The price on it is ridiculous... I like the price tag.. It is the smallest of the dual mods I've seen. Maybe even too small. So do you guys like your I sticks? Do these things hold up?
My other options look like the ipv or the sigelie 100w. Both quite a bit more money.. But as my first box mod I think I like the curved sides of the eleaf. The Sig just looks a little sharp on the corners.. And large.. But I've never held any of them in my hand.

Jeremy, I have an iStick, 20 watt, that I got when they first came out. I don't use it all day, every day, but it does get daily use with a Fogger on it. It's working fine after about three months if that's any help to you.
I also have an IPV2, 50 watt, that I also got when they first came out. It's solid as a rock and gets used, heavily, daily with a Big Fogger on it. It's a single battery and a little small in my hand, size 11 glove. The dual battery would probably be a good fit for me, but I think a 134 is a small tube mod, LOL.
The newer iStciks are supposed to have upgraded 510 connectors and spring loaded center pins along with some other, internal, upgrade. At the price, if I were looking for another VV/VW device, I'd probably go with the dual battery iStick. That said, I'd also go for a dual battery Vapor Flask, even at their price, with a DNA40 chipset. I am waiting for DNA40 boards and plan on building my own mod with them.

Big J, while I don't have a 50 YET, I have been nothing but pleased with the performance and durability of my 20 & 30. You cant go wrong at that price point for a solid little mod!
I have an iStick 20 and it is unusable. The power regulation is all over the place.
I had a little trouble like that for a while, Woofer. Turned out it was bad contact with the center pin in the connector. Cleaned everything up and no more problems.
never had any problem like that with any of them I have had, or with the threads everyone complinded about (maybe like Eric Clapton I have a slow easy hand) the only thing mine does out of the ordinary is it is a little HOT on the lower end of the spectrum (the 20 not the 30). The 30 has been jam up an jelly tight!

), the iSticks are the best mods in my collection.
Im with you awsum, i tend to think he is confusing a 510 connector pin issue (really mild and overcomable) or an atty problem with a mod problem, but I could be wrong and he could have got a lemon.
Possible I guess but if so unlike any other 510 problem I've had.
Mine seems to randomly fire at full power regardless of the display setting.
Except when it doesn't fire at all, then the next click will fire.

You could indeed have one of the rare lemons, have you spoke with your distributor?
The phantom fire is a know occurrence and I do experience that a time or two a day.

This is not a 510 or atty problem.
Mine was changing power on its' own, dropping lower. Very disconcerting to take a long hit and get less vapor than a cig-a-like from a Fogger. Drove me nuts for a couple of days before I dug into it and found the problem. It's be solid ever since. Give it a shot, wiggle, don't unscrew, the center pin and clean the connector. It might work, if not nothing lost, nothing gained.

Bought it at a B&M, they say I dunno it seems to work.I can't argue that, I suppose I could leave it with them but I've moved on.
Sad part is I like the egrip enough to buy to try but I have seen others mention the same problem, so no sale.
I got the 20W iStick and love it, I bought it during a good sale and intended it to be a back up thinking I wouldn't care for it but I use it all the time now. Only problem I've had is once in the while it won't fire, I have to release and push the power button again, if it craps out I'll just put a new switch on the board. As far as the threads, the only atty that doesn't fit well is the clone plume, that goes in too tight so I just use the 510-ego adapter. If your not in a hurry and you keep an eye out I'm sure you'll find someone who runs a sale or kick's out a discount code. Focal has flask's with a clone DNA 40, dual 18650, a few folks already are reporting screen problems with them but focal is good about replacing defective stuff, just the wait for shipping. You could always pick up a evolv board and replace it and have a nice flask on the cheap. I have a 10-11% coupon code for focal, but it's only good for the China warehouse search Result:flask in focalecig

After read this thread for about an hour and checking bottles to see if I had any Rayon (which I didn't) I ask the wife to stop by Sally's and pick up a roll of 100% Rayon. I guess I'll be testing some wicks tonight
