Ok... I'm not going to read 108 pgs about rayon, so I only have one question, where do I find it? Don't say Walmart, because they do not have it at walmart, I was just there and looked for it, no rayon.

That link goes to something called 'cellucotton', not rayon...

We have Sally's around here, somewhere... I can find one pretty quickly.

Andria

Right Cellucotton is sold in two varieties. 100% cotton, real cotton, and Rayon. You want the Rayon.

There are Sally's stores by you. There are at least 5 in the greater Atlanta area.

Google Sally's stores Atlanta or use the store locator on the Sally's website.

If you have a sallys near you get product # 44060 called cellucotton. It isnt cotton. It is called that for some reason. It does come in cotton or rayon.. You want the 44060 which is rayon and is a big box. sells for like 11.00 for 500 ft of it..

drilled one of the kayfuns out yesterday.....5/64 center post airway....9/64 side airway.
this thang puts out the clouds and no problems wicking!!

lol one of my kayfuns has been in a million pieces for a couple hours now (been working on other stuff too) doing the same damn thing. I managed to drill the center post to 1/16 for the post, both horizontal and vertical. Wanted more, so now I'm doing 5/64. I've gotten about a 1/4 down the vertical and it won't go anymore, drill bit get red hot. Any tips/photos? What am I doing wrong?

I have been vaping some coffee juice in my dripper for a few hours. Normally that would kill it. Gunk up and we are done. I've gotten use to that with coffee juice. It's a coil killer. But with this CC it's squeaky clean after 6 hours! What gives?

My question to the veterans of this thread ---- what process/reaction is going on that keeps the coils clean?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Jeremy, I've been using spit... highly scientific, I know :p Will try e-juice.

DrByteh, it's because the coils stay wet, due to rayons wicking. Wet coils won't get as hot, which caramelizes the juice at a much slower rate :)

EDIT: So, uhhh.... anyone know of a source for Kayfun center posts? No reason, really:oops:

I think Fatdaddyvapes has the center posts.

I think you definitely need a lubricant as you drill stainless steel because it's so hard. I'd assume standard cutting oil would do the trick. And I assume you're using one of those fancy ultra hard and sharp drill bits.

The only trick I know about in terms of drilling metal is that turpentine or paint thinner are the best cutting agents when drilling a soft metal like lead or tin. Completely off topic for vaping gear though.

awesome!!!

stopped by the cincinnati alt-smoke today and gave a bag of rayon balls from delasco and about 5ft of sally's to them.
they all seem to use drippers in there. told them to use it and pass it around. told them the scoop on it, how to use it and all.
told them about the thread too.

gotta spread the love baby!!!

I wonder if any of you enterprising driller-outers might post some pics illustrating this project. My 2 KFL+ clones have the 2mm airflow, and they're great, but I've also got this cheapie KFL clone which seems to have almost-zero airflow; I was thinking some of this drilling might be necessary, but it would be my husband doing it, he handles the power tools in this family, so some pics would sure help.
