Rayon wick, better flow, flavor, saturation and Nic Hit!

Hey Jax!! Thank you, sir... Yeah, I just kinda needed to get away from everything for a while. Sometimes life just seems to have a way of stacking up on you, ya know? I'm hanging in there, though and should be back around here a bit more now. I missed you guys and just couldn't stay away for too long.

Finally got my son to give up the stinkies. He had tried to get off of them with an eGo but it just wasn't satisfying for him so he smoked and vaped. Had him over a couple weekends to show him the ropes on rebuildables, ohms law, batt safety, etc. He's kind of geeky like me and took to it really fast. I couldn't be happier.

That's awesome, man! Good deal on getting him set up on something that works for him! I need to get my dad to come back around and get him into the rebuildables. He struggles with the eGo and smoke/vapes, too... he drives a truck for a living and I just need to catch him the next time he rolls through town. He's a bit geeky too, I imagine he'd pick it up pretty quick as well.
I'm still running that Hobo hard, and it's still kicking out the vape. I've got it with 24g Nichrome 80, 0.2 ohms... rayon is keeping up with it, and I've got two homemade juices that are just fantastic in it. A Vanilla Custard, and a Peaches-N-Cream... I tried going back to my Tobh this weekend, but the flavor just wasn't there...

Hey qorax! Nice to have you here.. You do some great threads around the forum.

Is that wick still in contact with the coil? I dont know, it looks a little thin for a fresh build.. If so it may be temp protecting if you go with higher wattage. Do you have any pics after a day or more of use?

However, it would be perfect if its broken in or hasn't reduced at all somehow.

That's awesome Jax, hope your boy sticks with it. I walked into city hall the other day, there is a set of double doors that acts as a breeze catch. I walked passed a guy standing in there and area reeked of stale cig smoke, I though to myself God, I use to smell like that!

Nice going, Kaz! I've tried to convert my son, daughter and X to vaping. My son and X are lost causes though. My daughter actually has managed to quit everything. Along the way I have gotten a few people into vaping as a side effect of working on them.

I joke with him that he's a part-time vaper... and he needs to go full-time pro! I'll get him the rest of the way, it's just going to take some prodding... Nice that you've got your daughter to quit! I switched my sister-in-law, and a few others at work... I'm more happy about switching most of the guys in one of my local vape shops to rayon, though...

I can't think of a better gift then to give someone you love.

My son sent me a eGo style kit with a few juices which, arrived on a Thursday, the next Monday morning I had my last stinkie. Been vaping ever since; just over 2 years now.

My build is starting to taste a little funny (read as slight burned aftertaste). I hope my bits turn up tomorrow because I will rebuilding this regardless...

Did you try a coil clean?.. Its really just absorbing the burnt juice off the coil. Basically no friction needed. Just a lite wipe over to pull the burnt juice off.

I was wondering if you had tight rolled it before hand.. Good to hear that's working for you. When I did it once it came out too dense so I keep with my original fresh loose fiber pulled to the squeak.

As always there's many different ways to get the same end result... You can roll it tight and it springs back, so this may be easier for a lot of people.

Good luck with your dad. Maybe the tinkering aspect of rebuilding will help him to fully convert.

Vapor Flask will be coming out with a squonker so I'll probably venture into those waters. Looking at the Apollo for that. Not really sure what RDA I want to get for it.

Same thoughts here as well. I ride an elevator here at work and when smokers get on I think to myself, "Yuk! That stinks! I used to smell like that." So glad I no longer smoke for all sorts of reasons.

Yep, loving the Hobo... it really seems to shine with the low builds, doesn't it?

Hmmmm... I may have to look into that Vapor Flask squonker... Haven't looked at the Apollo yet, but I"m sure that if you really wanted to, a Hobo could be modded to allow for BF. It'd take a little doing, but it wouldn't be impossible...

Tried the drip and wipe... no, not that, on a coil. Didn't seem to work. 25pg/75vg if that matters. Got some dark stuff off but still looks caked on.

The stuff from my wife's dark sweet juice looks like a bbq grill leftover. When I dry burn it glows for minutes.
