I just want to see the "Grand Opening" of Tony's topper - I am sure a discretionary warning should be included in the video. You know "Some viewers may find this offensive".
Let's just hope living things don't start creeping out while I do :D

I really should stop using nuclear waste. God knows what might be breeding in there:

My latest mix... It doesn't glow in the dark... Yet... :)

I am not sure why you think it will look any different than at 20ml. Are you expecting a lot of gunk? Maybe I'm missing something.. Mine never looks bad at all with vg Arabic tobacco .. 130 ml now and looks the same as always. No gunk

I want a magnetic stirrer for my juice too! :vapor:

Yup I want one too. Tony built his and it works great I bought one off of eBay and it doesn't work and has now been rendered as spare parts. "Go Figure".

Tony is the man. :toast:

I am back to the drawing board and will build based on Tony's design. - Boy it hurts as a hardware guy to be beat by a software guy. :(

If you guys are talking about my post yes I was kidding. I have had toppers gunk up just a little and start to taste really bad and some that went for weeks and tasted great throughout. I have no answer for that phenom .

Actually the juice that with a little gunking that goes bad on me is a NET with a hint of Maple and when that stuff gunks it becomes un-vapeable. Also it is not a burning issue (I don't think) because it has happened to me on my TC unit and the temp never went over 400 F (I only use Fahrenheit because I know Tony likes that unit of measure better than "C" )

You have a nice enclosure. That's the important part. If it really sucks that bad, gut it and install a 12V fan.

Speaking of which... Just saw a guy that cut all the fins and the footprint is now tiny. I bet it would fit like that in your enclosure :) no vibrations btw, just cut them all flush and get rid of the bracket too :)

And no, I didn't beat you. This isn't a pissing contest. I think you spent too much time on the "other" thread :D

Ah - "Great minds", I was looking at my Case Fan last night and had the same thought about cutting off the fins an frame. That reduce the foot print to almost nothing. Also it should provide more power to the task of spinning the magnets no fan blade resistance (hint, hint).

I considered making a magnetic stirrer (the stirrers I saw were pretty expensive) but then I got to thinking- the reason for stirring is to aerate and mix the juice, so why not use the tumbler I already own? (It's actually a ball mill I use for making black powder, but it works on the same principal as a rock tumbler.) I plan to use plastic containers having at least twice the volume as the juice I want to process; that way there's plenty fresh air to work with. Occasionally checking it will allow the air to be refreshed. A light bulb can be easily placed in proximity to the rotating bottle to gently warm the juice if desired.

FWIW Harbor Freight sells a small rock tumbler for around $40.00 (shown below) and a double length tumbler for about $55.00. The rubber drum it comes with would not be used, a plastic bottle would be used instead.

Actually, magnetic stirrers are used to minimize aeration when used at the correct speed and are able to mix in complete vacuum or sealed containers.

Both juices I make don't require steeping so I just let the stirrer going for two hours with the glass covered with a lid to mix everything well (70%VG) and that's it.

I swear that even my coffee tasted better when I stirred my cup using the machine :)
