Rin, I have some Cellucotton Rayon coming and I'm sure I'll have more than I need to try it. I can send you some when it gets here. I called my closest Sally's to maybe buy some now to try it quicker but they too only sell the small, 100% cotton. It's a super small Sally's closest to my house but the bigger one about 30 mins away has it I guess.
I've been going through a lot of juice lately. Almost finished my third 50 ml bottle of GVC and wanted to try something. I took a 50 ml bottle of GVC ("VG Heavy 6mg nic") that was 80% used and filled the bottle with pure VG juice - a very diluted mix. Juiced up my Heron and vaped. It was still full of flavor! And if I can taste it, anyone can because my taste buds are pretty shot after 50+ years of smoking cigs. Yeah, I'm so old I fart dust! This CC keeps impressing me.

I hope Sally's does a faster job shipping to you than to me! Placed the order last Fri and it didn't ship until today! (albeit with several "we're sorry for the delay we have forwarded your order to ..." emails). And finding myself waiting for my daughter in a strip mall, with a Sally's staring me in the face I just couldn't resist!

Didn't mean anything I said as an attack or anything like that, but since many others read this forum I felt it was important to put my responses up both for you and others reading this thread. PM me if you'd like a sample of cellucotton, as I noted above, I have more than I need by about a factor of 10 (unless vaping with rayon somehow turns me into a Time Lord! ;-)

Go to Sally's website and do a search.. Try a couple large city's near you.. I know when i searched from Frankfurt Germany I found a lot of Sally stores.. Call before you go, to confirm the store is still there. They list uk, Germany and Spain and Ireland.
However I'm sure every country has a beauty supply store for salons and hairdressers and they should have a comparable product. Just ask you hairdresser where she gets her stuff, or she may have some to let you try. You would have to confirm the product is pure rayon.
Should have my 3 lbs. box tomorrow or Friday. Shipping is kind of ridiculous. It took less time for it to go from California to Columbus Ohio than from Ohio to Pittsburgh. And then FedEx delivered it to my local post office which doesn't make any sense. Regardless, I will be able to try this stuff no matter what by Friday. My friend got some from Sally's and I will be visiting him Friday. I picked up some 1 gallon ziplock bags to put this stuff in. I am going to give a bunch away.

Realize a large number of the vaping community is going to be ascending on my location. Ive just been putting out rando land mine posts to the plasticizers, regularly. (People that unknowingly think its palstic, ect.)
I do not care for the tencel because it's harder to work with for me but doc uses it all the time with great success, but similar to ramie it's more difficult to work with.. Heck I was going to pm you that I would send you a sample of each.. Just got really busy at work.

I really like this stuff, and want to promote its use. And I really like ECF and the opportunity to PIF.
I just tried a bit last night, sent by an esteemed fellow ECFer (unnamed to protect his privacy). The CC is a tad more difficult to tear apart, and seems a bit "stickier" - both to itself and to the inside of the coil. But, on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being easiest, I'd say cotton is an 8 and CC is a 7.5. That's with a 9 being "someone else wicked it for me" and a 10 being "my wick achieved self-awareness and replaced itself".
My utterly unscientific thought is that the "stickiness" might end up being a good thing, if it is a property in the material that carries through down to the molecular level. It may imply that less of it will come off and enter the vapor stream and our lungs.
Pretty exciting stuff.
It is very difficult to pull apart a very short length of CC because the fibers are fairly long. Try pulling off a longer piece, and it's very different.
That's true with "stretching" it in a coil as well; if the piece you're using is too short it doesn't stretch at all, but if you use a longer length, it stretches very easily.
Ive been rocking cellucotton for 3 day snow, damn... I did rewick once, but it was only after mixing so many flavors i wasnt sure if i was tasting the right tastes... this is a amazing wicking product. I did make an attempt at the aga t2 using rayon. got it to work, but too much fiddlefuking around to be something i would do again. Guess its time to buy a russian,kayfun,taifun,fogger, ect.

so ive slowly but surely been converting all of my cotton-wicked atomizers to cellucotton...with great success!!
my first patient was the M6 that rests atop my Vmod 2.0. i have always been prone to scorching the (cotton) wick in this particular atty. something about the way the vmod feeds and giving me a false sense of a saturated wick combined with my feverish attempts at abducting the nicotine seemed to relentlessly leave me with a barely moist to straight-up Dry Hit.
enter cellucotton. dry hits? pshhhh! what is this, 2013? nope! no dry hits here, folks! just juicy pure dense vaporous draws. this cellucotton soaks up - and more importantly - wicks up the juice like a Beast. even the tiny straggling drops that would pool in the edges of the cup are being put to good use by way of the sallys.
my second venture was with my new kayfun mini. didnt even bother considering cotton for this tiny powerhouse. not after the superb performance in my initial foray. so while i dont know how this puppy performs with cotton, i Do know that its remarkable with cellucotton. i was able to cram a great deal of sallys in there, especially seeing how i did a navy-lifeguard nest-type build. i wanted as much wick as humanely possible in this one because while the M6-VMod setup works great, i feel i could still cram a bit more sallys in there.
so for the kfun mini, i wet the wick down with juice and compressed it by rolling it between my thumb and pointer (wearing gloves. im already getting plenty of nic transferred from the sallys, dont need any more through my skin). i really got that wick saturated and compressed as much as i felt was possible. i slid it through my 1/16" ID 28g microcoil by holding the coil in place with tweezers and slowly coaxing the wick through, careful not to disturb my coil. results: superb! flavor is lip smacking and the TH and VP are aces.
i really gotta hand it to you guys. you werent lying! my hat goes off.
