Whew! That's about how I've been doing it, 'cept my wicks don't slide quite as easily - just a wee bit tighter. My coils are about 1/16" diam (same as the width of the slit on Evod bases) and I've been getting 3 wicks out of one length of "stuff." That's why I've been rebuilding in threes. I was going through two heads a day with yarn, but four days in on my first two with this, and they're still good.
And they should be a bit tighter, also there are different ways to get to the end result so if your way is working great for you, your good! As long as you have clean wicks and coil and no dry hits your perfect.
I should have used 50% more wick to start with.. I will make another video soon.
I just received a sample of CC from a very helpful member here. I wicked my IGO-W a little tighter than I normally do with cotton. First off, I am amazed at how quickly this stuff sucks up the juice. When it was dry, I dripped a few drops and watched the liquid instantly disappear. Cotton normally takes a few seconds to soak it up for the first time. Fully saturated, waited a minute, then vaped. Immediately no wick flavor at all. I can always taste cotton for the first few hits. Flavor remains clean and full until the wick dries. So, nothing new here, the same results everyone is reporting. I don't think there is a huge difference in flavor compared to cotton at full saturation, but the rayon definitely seems better suited as a wicking material than the other fiber wicks I've tried (cotton ball, cotton yarn, silica, ekowool). In the past, I developed the opinion a good SS mesh setup wicks better than anything else... well, at this point I am inclined to state that rayon is the SS mesh of fiber wicks, and massively easier to work with.
EDIT: After vaping dry and re-dripping a few times, I noticed one of the wicks had shrunk in the coil. Rewicked it a bit denser than the first time. Again, nothing new. It doesn't expand like cotton and needs to be quite a bit tighter.

I love that the smell is all flavor (even though there's so much of it now). With a few days of yarn (which is why I changed heads every day), I walked around smelling like I burned a lot of old clothes in the backyard, soaked in sugary syrup. No changes in taste either. It's been a few days now with my original wicks, and it still tastes the same. No singey, scorchy flavor at all. My Evods used to get slurpy after a few days too, but not with this stuff. Building my Vision VTs now. Those got REALLY slurpy after awhile. Then it's off to the post office, so I can spread the rayon love!

I'm on day two. Did a Russian clone with CC performed great yesterday, but hitting saggy today? I may have found a solution with my dripper which is still performing same as yesterday. I made a wick of about 80%-90% rayon around a core of cotton.
Pics of the cotton core with CC on the outside. I used less cotton, but it photographed better with more.

That's how I first used rayon in the vertical coils. Per my signature link to Vcore... With cotton. The result was still exceptional... Now you have cotton reinforced rayon. 
Well crap, I've had my first side effect but I'm not sure if it's from the rayon CC or the tencil fiber. My soft palate just in front of my tonsils is sore and a little inflamed. I'm going to back off for a few days and just vape cotton and readyx like I was doing before I started on the rayon products then I'll try them one at a time and try to determine which one I have the problem with (hope it's not both).
I had that side effect with the palate, too, when I first started vaping, and I was using organic cotton. I figured it was from vaping too much. I rinsed with salt water and it went away after a couple of days.
Or none of the above..
First few days I had a varied effect that was related to the heavily saturated vape that I had never had before. Something is imagine you'd get at a cloud competition. It passed and now my lungs and mouth feel better than ever before. You'd think with the really wet vape that the lungs would be heavier but actually they feel better than before I started using rayon.
I also over nic'd for a few days.
I'm very confident that's it's not from the rayon but the extra juicy juice.

Just tried the rayon from the spring valley melatonin because Sally's was closed when I got off work. I plan on getting some cc from them on Thursday.

Good thoughts... I'm going to let me throat recover for a couple of days and then try again.
Gotta agree with this. I got lazy about squonking the Cyclone on my feeder late last night and got a bad dry hit from it. It tasted nastier than any dry-hit I've had from cotton and the flavor from the wick never did fully recover.
Also, today my KFL+ started giving me a burnt taste after less than two full tanks through it. The hits from it never felt dry, they just tasted of burnt. Pulled it apart this evening and sure enough, the wick was scorched at one end of the coil.
Now both of these were my first attempt at wicking with CC rayon and I think both were wicked too densely. I rewicked the Cyclone earlier today using less rayon and a much shorter tail, and it seems to be much better. But I think I need to change the coil arrangement to take full advantage of it. I just re-wicked the KFL+. Got much less of the "new rayon wick" taste I described in a previous post, so I think I've got the density closer to where it needs to be, but only time will tell.
With a gennie, I had enough in the tank to be able to pull some out of the coil to a clean spot and carry on. My NET wick was ugly half way down so I tossed it. Still learning what works. Still deciding if cotton is better for me or am I just used to it.

I had talked about this before, but many posts back I guess.
You have to sense the dry hit. Because when it starts to go dry it drys really fast. If you look at how dry you can get the wick before the flavor starts to warn of a dry hit... It's pretty Darn dry at that point.. If you miss that warning there's nothing left, and the coil goes into dry burn.

It burns like cotton that's part of the burn test to confirm its rayon. Smells like paper when it burns. It is made from a Tree and like cotton when you burn it its junk.... What's wrong with the nets, is it not wicking. Do you have pictures you can post? I'm wondering if it Just looked bad or was reducing in function.. I can see it filtering net particulate in its self though.

I would stick with it man, that pharmacuitical rayon is some good stuff man. I really liked it. I thought the uniformity was better with it, but then again it's not in a 500ft roll like CCr.
Glad you scored the rayon in your bottle, was it the 3 mg or 1 mg?
I'd really like to know what bottle, that way people that want to try it can spend 4 buck and get 6 Months worth of it.. I thought the bottle rayon was excellent.

Yes it is first filtering and then it gets dry because it can't wick. I think the nasty taste is the coil.
