Not sure where you got your extension, but looks like madvapes has the shorty for cheap.....

thank you.
i did get a shorty extention (from somewhere else). i was under the impression that the 510-510 shorty was ultra compact like the 808-510 shorty. as it turns out the 510-510 comes in a super length one as the standard, so the shorty is about the size of a standard 808-510. it would be awesome if they made a super shorty 510-510 unsealed adapter, as thats what i need.
but all i had to do is add a bit of electrical tape to my vmod chasis and the extention i have works fine.

Heh yup that's me. So the A7 and the vmod 2.0 are getting along swimmingly so far. The juice feeds into the atty perfectly. A quick pump and dry pull saturated the wick and then some but not flooded. I haven't noticed any leaks and I haven't even used any extra o-rings. My only issue is that the A7 sits about 2mm too high. Functionally it's fine, but I don't like the slight slidyness of the vmod shell when I pick it up. I think I can find a shorter adapter. The one i bought is longer, i thought id need a long one. Hope i can find one 2mm shorter.

rubber washer from hardware store for the gap?

what did you buy to set this up? it would be nice if someone could list parts needed to get the A7 functioning on the vmod 2.0

A7 + unsealed adapter?

sorry for the delay. yes, i did try an o-ring in the gap between the A7 and the vmod itself, but it was 100% air tight and no air would pass through. i settled on a technique that wedges the vmod shell up just a few mm. i placed two strips of electrical tape around the base of the vmod chasis, just above the bottom lip (not covering the battery). so now, when i slide the shell on, it stops on the electrical tape, and wedges in firmly.

the look is flush, and you barely notice the fact that the shell is lifted 2mm because the bottom is all black. now the only thing grating at me is the fact the the silver vmod shell does not match the SS A7. i searched for a shiny vmod shell, but dont be fooled - the shinly looking vmod shell at Vapage is not shiny at all. i was fooled by the online pics and im now in the middle of an exchange (for the Burel Wood one).

but anyway - yes, all you need is the A7 and a 510-510 unsealed adapter. i bought two different unsealed adapters (regular and shorty), but both are slightly too tall (both are the same size btw). so the electrical tape is needed but it comes out clean. And having an rba on my vmod is outstanding.

i really like the size of the 2.0, and to my surprise its the perfect size with that RBA on it.

one question, does it wobble at all at the base. and have you ever looked into adding a needle or something to the bottle so you dont have to tip it back anymore? ive heard of few people talk about it but i would love to mod it that way theres just no info from anyone about it

same here, the size of the 2.0 is just so nice and compact. the A7 is a nice size rba for it, i agree. i just cant do the standard sized drip tip on it. makes it too tall for my liking.

no, it doesnt wobble at all at the base. the entire setup is 100% rattle-free.
no, i havent looked into the needle bottle idea. tipping it does not allow leaks however. perhaps it would with silica (i use cotton), but that would be only if it were super flooded. ive had the thing gurgly as heck and still couldnt produce a drop when i tilted it.
i do like the needle idea to perhaps lenghten the lifetime of the bottle. all too often these bottles crack prematurely. one thing ive been doing to releive some of the stress from the bottle: tilt the device 180 degrees, give the bottle a gentle squeeze and hold, then suck air through the atty. this will pull a few drops of juice to the catch cup without depressing the bottle severly. also, it gives you a bit more ejuice than the tilt, bubble, squeeze method. and with an rba, the extra juice is quite welcomed by me :)

I have found, if you tilt, squeeze, and vape at the same time it feeds very efficiently... This is what I have found to work best for me. I don't have an A7 installed on mine as I use Cisco spec 306's on my XL.

I had installed at one time, a Luer lock needle, (16 ga.), inside the juice bottle, (pressed into the neck), and it just didn't work out the way I envisioned it working!! It was not all that easy to feed through the setup. I would imaging if I had a 14ga. or bigger needle, it would have been better. It fed the atty without any tipping at all, but as I said was really airtight and somewhat hard to feed. I don't know if the needles will fit the bottles on the 2.0 though. I don't have one. I think they are smaller in diameter at the neck...

think a few people said the bottles on the 2.0 fit the XL also,

got any pics of the syringe in the neck of the bottle? i really would like to see how it fits, as im probably going to buy a vmod 2.0 any day now

Sorry I don't have any pics of the setup, but I do remember now that I had mod the Luer needle a little. There are some ridges around it, like 3 or 4, that needed to be shaved off for it to be able to slide all the way into the bottle. It was a tight fit for sure. I might also point out the needle actually touched the bottom of the 9ml XL bottle, so I know it wouldn't fit the 4ml bottle without being modded. As far as the bottles being interchangeable, i'm thinking they are not. If they were I think someone would've put the 2.0 bottles on an XL with the kick installed under it. That is the problem with kicking the XL under the bottle, too long, and needs to be cut down like 2-3mm or so.....

try not to pay full price for the vmod. vapage is always sending out codes.
personally, i wouldnt worry about the bottle mod needle idea IMO. once you slap an RBA on the vmod, one good squeeze will have you going for numerous lenghty vapes. YMMV.

no leaking with that A7 ??

atm im trying to see what RBA is shortest and sits as flush as possible to the body, since i want to have this in my pocket when i work, and it wont snap off from being long etc.

im looking for a REOMIZER atm, i think its a bit shorter than an A7. but i have however seen a MINI A7 on another site also.

Reomizer is great, but I'm not sure it will work very well on a VMod, since with VMod you really have to be able to blink squonk. Reomizer gets its air from the side rather than the 510 connection, so you may be squonking the juice all over the place instead of just inside the atty.

A7 doesn't leak. At least I haven't been able to get mine to leak. I carry both my Reo and VMod in a hip pocket, and neither leaks even when biking or running around with my kids.

Give it some time. I've already seen the clone of the hornet that's sealed (for dripping). So I'm sure the bottom feeding hornet clone will come out soon.

the sealed hornet clone is a great atty too btw imo (not for the VMod obviously though). for less than eight bucks, im very impressed.

Yup. Not planning on getting one though -- bottom feeders are close enough to vape quality of dripping, and less of a hassle. If I needed an atty to test my DIY juices, it would be great, but I already have atties for that
