RBA voltage drop comparison

So I'm just starting to look at this, and my "knowledge" is scant and very subjective. I've been mostly with AGA and recently got an IGO-L: here's what I noticed. . . . . When I replaced the center post on AGA, I put the same coil back in, and it metered out .2Ω lower (.8Ω dropped to .6Ω). A second one dropped .1Ω. Now I'm playing with the IGO-L; a much smaller hunk of steel with a substantially shorter post. All the coil builds (which I thought I knew like the back of my hand) are metering out lower too. (Again, about a .2Ω difference.) Someone (apologies, forget who) else posted that, when they used copper wire to externally bridge the top and bott of their AGA, they noticed a big difference too.

Have any of you multiple rba owners noticed stuff along these lines? I (geek that I am) would love to end up with a little list of average voltage drop per rba, as a shopping/comparison criterion. vaping SLR on a mechanical, .2Ω is a big difference; both safety-wise, and for pleasure. And, speaking of "pleasure", how are those ribbed mods (Empire, k100)?

If you think .2 is a big difference - you should try out some of the chinese mech mods

They measure 4.2 at the 510 connection and then 3.0 once an AGA-t is on or a cobra/chid is on

Sure the aga has a little voltage drop - maybe .02-.04 - but when added to the natural or iseason people are reporting total voltage of 3.2 or less

I know I'm getting 2.9v on a fully charged 18650 using the iseason and a 1.0 ohm aga -t - ill have to modify it - huge thread over in specific apv discussion

What are your drops when connected to the actual mod using a fully charged IMr?

Also to answer your original question

Getting .4 drop on aga-t on a .9 coil
Getting .3 drop on chi cobra at 2.0 ohm

But the drop that bothers me is when connected to these mods

I guess that's why people pay 200$ and more for mech mods

I been noticing these same 'issues' and will spend part of my upcoming spring/easter break hunting for brass screws/rods that can be modified to fit the AGA-T series. Will probably have to replace the insulators with something different as well.

Prob not all related to the RBas. Most likely it's the mech mods.

Example - Smok telescope has a .7 voltage drop so a fresh batt gives u 3.2v on anyone you put on it

Ok, I'll check for the thread you mentioned. I'll search and hunt and forage . . . . . unless you gimme a link? Are you referring to mech.s that have had "contact surgery"?, or right out of the box; cause both my Natural and our Telescope showed great improvement.

Like I said, I'm pretty naive about this, I can't measure voltage drop with my current tools-at-hand.

(I replaced center post on AGA-t with quality ss hardware and sanded contacts on mech.s and find big time improvements.)

Also, did you see PBusardo review on Popular 2? He volt tested 4 mechanicals and the Telescope came out on top! (I think it was only a 0.13 drop)

I meant the natural and Iseason have huge drops, not the telescope. Brain freeze.

if you have a volt meter - you can measure all your mechanicals on the RBA's with the top off.

For example -

Iseason - measured 2.9 V on a freshly charged AW IMR 18650 and 18350
I know certain things "show/feel" improved, but you really don't know until you see the numbers.
I was POSITIVE i was getting the same vape as my provari 4 volts, until i tested my AGA-T on my iSeason mech mod, and realized i was getting 3.0 V or 2.7V on a freshly charged battery and i can never vape it the same way again.
THe thread i linked shows a few ways to mod the iSeason and i'm sure there is a thread out there to mod out the natural to get the best/least voltage drop .
