well an RDA is a dripper, meaning you will be constantly refilling, taste is superb and they are easy to work on but dry out pretty quick.

the top dog right now for rba style tanks would have to be the Kayfun and all of its clone siblings.they make a clear tank for it.

possibly one of the easiest RBA's to set up and very consistent flavor and vapor with no mess.

rba, rda, you decide. I prefer large Stainless Steal tanks. Glass breaks, SS doesn't. The Aqua is my favorite, Kafun is pretty decent too. Still waiting on the Flashi, basically an rda with a big SS tank on it. Similar to the Tailfun GS but bigger. You can get every bit as good of taste and performance with a good rba as you can with an rda. All depends on ones preference. Plastic tanks crack, glass tanks break, Stainless Steel vape forever. I don't need to see my juice, just taste my juice.

Thanks for the info.. The only rba my local b&m sells is the rsst genesis(plastic tank) and I know I dont want that and the only rda they sell is the patriot. So Im kinda stuck with choices unless I buy online. Any suggestions on websites to check out? Ive got the cash to get the real thing... I dont wanna go the fast tech route.

Understand that everyone has their favorite, and just because one of us likes something doesn't mean that you have to as well.
That RSST is about the easiest Gennie type RBA to learn with. Mainly because the wick hole is insulated, and can't cause a short.

When I started looking for a RDA, I was looking for what could best replicate the vape that I already liked. I was not interested in sub ohm or chasing after huge clouds of vapor. I just wanted a damn good vape.
So this is the RDA that I chose:
    A7 Stainless Steel Rebuildable Atomizer

Empire has a good selection of RBA/RDA's

Wow!! There are so many rbas and rdas out there!! A lot to sort through... Whatever I pick will be my first rebuildable so are there any things I need to look out for? Ive heard a lot of people drilling out the airholes. I really dont want to have to mess with that since I wouldnt know what Im doing. Oh and my local b&m also sells the octopus.

Is there one with adjustable airflow that you would suggest?

The first RDA I bought was the Optimus S. It's cheap, but it's stainless steel, has adjustable airflow, and hits heavy with a nice micro coil in it. Doesn't hold a ton of juice because it's pretty small, but it is a very easy beginner RDA that will still give you huge performance.

I know there are a bunch of other RDAs that have adjustable airflow, but I don't remember which ones and haven't got the time to research and find them. (Gotta get to sleep like 30 minutes ago, work tonight :glare:)

I'll scan some of Grimms videos and see if I can't update my post with some more options for you tomorrow!

Here's another: Helio RDA, Dual Coil

You don't need adjustable airflow, but it's nice to be able to choose and that way you're not stuck with an RDA that has a draw that is too tight. That's when drilling comes into play.

Oh and my local b&m also sells the octopus.

That was one of my first, it is a drip, pretty easy and pretty tasty.

I think someone else mentioned they are only as good as you can coil. I didn't really get it till I tried someone's set up who knew what they were doing. Luckily they also spent time with me to show me how they did it. Might be a lot of personal preference in there as well.

I found the Zen the easiest to work with, it is forgiving and once I really learned how to coil well it gave a superb vape. But that is bout 150 bucks or more. I think I learned the most playing with an AGA T2, 400 mesh wick, 32 gauge kanthal and a multimeter after being at a vape meet. I hate going out, crowds and all that but hanging out with others really helped.

    How is your local BM?

For me the easiest fail proof build is a microcoil made on a drill bit or nail, then feeding thin cotton through it. It works great. Just put some eliquid or VG on your fingers and get the cotton thin. I use sterile cotton roll from CVS. I switch out the wick every night in a minutes time. I also use .5mm ribbon wire and do 9 wraps making it at 1.9 ohms usually. I'm not a huge cloud chaser sub ohm person but I still get tons of flavor and vapor. Afterall, I Vape in a law firm during the day. Lol.

I love my RSST, you said your local b&m has them. It's always good to support the local shops when you can. Assuming they didn't jack the price too much...should be around $30. There's lots of videos showing how to build it on youtube...it's pretty forgiving as far as Genesis style atomizers go. However, the Kayfun is much easier to build, I think the taste is better, you can lay it on it's side with no leaking and it'll outlast most others. Kinda pricey but well worth it. Good luck!

The Trident seems to be very popular around here and is a great deal. But you'd have to wait a few weeks :glare:

If you do pick that one up, go with China Post epacket shipping, seems to be the fastest atm. Any RDA/RBA will give you much better flavor than a clearo, I'd start with a dripper because they're easier to learn on. RDAs also give you better flavor.

I also just got a Fogger v3 in the mail today, I like it pretty well, price is good and it doesn't leak like some Genesis-style tanks. It also is a tad easier to setup, but Kayfun and Russian or their clones are significantly easier to setup than the Fogger because they don't have a giant lip in your way.
