Hey all, I have a question... I recently got into rda's and im hooked. I started with an IGO-L and I love it, however, I wanted to get a dual coil and I went for the patriot. I put it together last night fresh out of the box and it's just way too airy for me to do mouth to lung hits. (the way I usually vape)

it seems to me that its intended to be used for lung hits, what can I do here? do I need to go buy an rda with adjustable airflow?

If im doing mouth to lung, can I do double coil? is there a benefit vs single coil?

I usually like a warmer vape but i'm not running a mech yet so I have to stay at around 1.3 ohm.

thanks in advanced!

A dual coil will be cooler for you with a regulated device.

The igos have pretty tight draws. Origen and omega are my favorite dual coil atomizers that I own. Both are adjustable. I reach for the omega more often.

You might be able to rig something up to tighten the draw, like a little mesh.. or something similar.

I just picked up a quasar and you don't have to settle for predetermined hole sizes like other rdas. It's got on hole and you can close off as much as you want, very easy to set up for mouth to lung.

That said, I was in the same boat as you until I got into dripping. Now I never do lung to mouth hits.. Give it time :)

yeah that's what I fear, im going to gently store the patriot in a drawer and see where this road leads me...

did you setup the quasar single or double?

gotcha... yeah I don't want to leave the safety of my reg mod just yet, soon, but not yet, still reading :)
I've been looking at the omega... it looks like you can rock a single or double no problems, its got 3 holes yes?

Looks like the Quasar and the ZNA were made for each other....

Yes, 3 holes, adjustable airflow without extra parts... just base and cap. It can be really tight to where it chokes you out on flavor, or wide open for lung hits (I don't think I've seen holes drilled out larger on anything.. they look like 2.5mm holes). I don't build horizontal coils with it. I'm kinda ocd about airflow hitting the center of the coil. I use verticals, and I have a diagonal in it right now to make flavor changes easier by having wick through coil.

Sounds interesting. I don't mean to put you out, but would you be willing to post a pic of this setup?. It would be hugely appreciated.
