RDA RDA on newbie gear

It's all about ohms law. An ego type battery can fire an RDA, not that you should, lol. Any power source can fire a rda, wether it should or not depends on the build and staying within the safety limits.
if you can find it, the vision eternity was a ego intended rda, IIRC you couldnt use wire larger than 30ga on it. i had one for a while that i ran on an ego twist, was good for mtl hits but not full lung hits. most of the coils you could get on it were above 1.5 ohms due to the size of the wire. if you keep it above 1.4 ohms and single coil most rda's will work ok for you. honestly though if you want to try dripping i would suggest a good 30 watt mod and an igo w or tohb to learn on. keep your coils on that above .5ohms and you should be fine for single and dual coils.
I ended up picking up a second hand Fuhattan mod. Built a dual coil setup at ~.5 ohms and its vaping like a charm. In love with dripping right now. The flavor is incredible
Once you drip you never go back...
I rarely use my RTAs now but it's all about personal preference. For me, the flavor from a dripper is so much better than an RTA. If I want to not worry about an atty leaking in my pocket while I'm at work or out and about I'll use my Zephyrus tank. Otherwise, I'm dripping.

Yea I'm definitely still going to use my RBA when I'm out and about. Once it comes in the mail anyway. But when I'm home I'll be... Drip, drip, DROP 
You can put an RDA on whatever you like. The idea that it requires something more substantial is a myth. Building it appropriately for your power source is what matters.
