Spent a few hours researching and am still not sure what to get.

I kinda just want to get a $5 clone. I probably get lead from other things. A shower's basically a gas chamber even with a filter, cookware can leach chemicals, etc.
But vaping possibly hazerdous materials just ruins the vape for me. I'll spend more for a hazardless-material tank if they exist. That's what I'm asking suggestions for. I might have to contact manufacturers to hopefully confirm any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I'm talking about the posts that connect the wires on RDAs like the Nimbus, IGO-w, Trident, and their clones. Brass might contain lead.
Edited to add: Now I know even the stainless steel body might also contain lead, so the problem's potentially with all the materials, not just the posts.

Some of the clones have screws that are brass or black metal which I could change out to stainless for like 30 cents each at ACE hardware if the size can't be found online and bought cheap. HD/Lowe's doesn't have metric screws that small, but ACE will and also maybe a mom & pop hardware or gunsmith. But is stainless not even preferred for genuines because of bad conductivity?

Edit to Add: The stainless screws at ACE might contain lead.

At around 16:00, the zenesis creator explains how stainless might contain things like lead. He praises the surgical-grade stainless he made the z-atty with since it's said to be safe to be implanted in someone for the rest of their life, but is it safe when heated up?

dont forget to stress over the wire, it contains aluminum and chromium :D

theres more led coming out of your faucet with all the brass and copper fittings. I am more leary of things that are plated with chrome and mystery metals then of ss, as for copper posts they shouldnt be getting hot enough to matter and being a dripper they arent exactly submerged in juice all the time.

heck just imagine what a cheap clearo is made from.......................................

Pesonally Veg, I quit overthinking a lof this stuff and just try to get things made out of quality materials. we are exposed to these products everyday in such quantities we can never achieve vaping 4 ml of liquid a day.

but on the same note im more worried about all these crazy flavorings and colorings I see in store bought juices then I am about what im putting them in. we put SS spoons and forks in our mouths every day, most of them are stamped made in china and no metal grade is ever given when we buy them, we cook on teflon based pans made of SS or aluminum. (the govt is now banning teflon coating because of the toxicity)

I use mesh but i dont burn the crap out of it, i use silica but i rinse off the dust first and I use kanthal wire that sits in every space heater and toaster on the planet, releasing the same fumes in my atty that I have been breathing since i was born.

on a side note ZEN is a brilliant guy but i think he's very arrogant about his products and knowledge.

I'd put all that effort into researching the clone you want to buy before anything else. With clones you really have to do some homework, but as far as getting metal poisoning I wouldn't stress that too much. If metal poisoning were a major issue I'd be more worried about SS mesh that you actually burn and directly inhale than any contact point.
