I forgot to post this the other day for all of you AX1 owners that want to use your own drip tips.

Okay guys, I need some help. Over the past 5 years I've been primarily a rta guy and just got my first rda the other day. The Vortice rda V2. While it is awesome so far I want to maximize it's potential. I want to run a single coil build (due to max battery life and no desire to sub ohm) @ 1.2 ohms, what is the best way to do so? Vertical I'm guessing? Attached is how I am doing it now and surely you guys have some better ways of doing it. Also please give me a pic of an example.View attachment 499362

I think for you, this may be a good atty for higher resistances. Great price!

Duuno. It was a real roundabout way that I accessed it, but I just had to see it! Thanks for posting it, or at least trying to post it. :)

I have found running a single could like this in the Vortice produces awesome flavor and vapor!View attachment 499937

Kudos. I didn't think it was 1) possible and 2) advisable with the airflow the way it is (which is perfectly shown in those pics). Shows what I know. LOL. I definitely don't use coils that narrow, so there's that. Congrats on finding what works. That coil set-up definitely changes the vape.

On another note, I just read a good review of the SOV Zenith here that is much like how I feel about it: http://flavourchasers.com/science-of-vaping-zenith-rdta/

The writer apparently uses a single-tail wick on a horizontal coil with success, but even he--after finding a 'fix' of sorts--still thought it was far too laborious to be as enjoyable as it could've been.

Again, thanks for the dissuasion last week. I picked up The Kennedy 24 w/ stainless steel post earlier today. I realized that I do not like building on a three-post setup and that the cross-head post screws tend to cam-out when manipulating the coil (may replace them with Torx screws) . But when everything is set up, the vape is excellent. No issues with leaking when dripping 20/80 directly on the center post. Big air, but not nearly as big as the Velocity. A Demon Cap for the 24 will be released shortly (this is a must-have accessory for me as I find the airflow a touch restrictive)...

Any recs on a dual 18650 TC mod?
I have an IPv4. I have little to no experience with using the TC. I could never get any nickel or titanium builds to work right. I do however use my Smok TCT with ni200 coils on it. In nickel mode it's nowhere near a satisfying vape for me. Running it in titanium mode with the nickel coils and setting the resistance when it raises to trick it works though lol. I will admit I am on the prowl for a DNA 200 mod given its range for builds and wire types, but more so for bundling some of the lower ohming artistic coils.

I went to vapor dynasty in phoenix this weekend (a vape expo of sorts) and bought a revolver rda from avail (never heard of them they also sell one or will be called the ko) I had to buy it from aesthetics and also the function in the form was interesting. It has of course side cyclops holes and on the top cap of the top cap 6 she'll casings where the flash hole is opened for top airflow. Both are adjustable though I will say the top air can whistle if not just every so slightly closed off. The ko atty is a shorter rda with brass knuckles on the side with the finger holes as air flow. The neat thing about it is the build deck is designed with 2 posts. Think velocity laid on its side with indents cut into the deck to allow a spindle for coiling (come with it) to lay in perfect alignment for positioning. I. Ant say enough about the quality of machining. He had only a few there to sell that he had finished up and brought. They come in a big stainless case.

Just put a dual 24g N60 2mm build in the snapdragon and all I can say wow, this thing hits hard! I never really did 2mm ID coils before (except for on a few quad coil builds where that was the largest ID that would fit) so I wasn't really sure what to expect. Flavor is intense, throat hit is pretty killer and it wicks really well. Honestly, the throat hit might be a little too much when only using one airhole on each side but this is the first build on this atty where I've been really impressed. Thinking about trying a 2mm dual coil build on my AX1 soon.
