Hey has anyone here picked up a prophet rda ? Its a little open and cloudy from the looks of it for me but it has a very cool looking deck and i love the petri esque gold finish. If it has good flavor I would be very interested in picking one up ! I am not seeing too many flavor chasing tanks for options so I'm trying to see what's out there. The recoil rda looks nice but besides that angled airflow there's nothing new there 8(

So RDAs I have heard of or am interested in right now

NoToy From no name Mods

Prophet RDA from Vaperz Cloud

Verv RDA

Recoil Rda

And a few others I am drawing a blank on right now. If anyone has any first hand experience with the Prophet please don't be shy and share your experience

I've recently become a big fan of The Maker: MAKER RDA- Brush finish
It has, to me, all the benefits of the Manta w/o the fiddly AFC. I got mine in trade for the Hobo V3. Chowderhead is currently doing a small run of BF Makers. The one I got was BFed by him and it's fantastic. Very good dense flavor. Air flow is easily adjusted and it's much more a flavor RDA than clouder.

Big fan of this atty because of the flavor it delivers. Maker rda also coming out with new colors I've never seen before

Anyone have the Buddha Mini?

A bit late. Yes, I have one. It's a good rda and highly recommended. Very deep juice well, lots of air flow. Good flavor. No leaking. Cool engravings also.

My only complaint is the drip tip. You can't use your own. Which is fine since I do like it. But it's not screwed in. So if you misplace it, or ifi it pops off and vanishes, you will have to contact vaperz cloud for a new one.

But total beast of an rda and a cloud machine. I like building on the deck too. Just your standard 3 post 4 hole design. Very nice for shorter coils.

Prophet for the win I got mine yesterday slapped some aliens in it and boy oh boy is this thing rocking it was so easy to build on that I actually reflected back to when I built it and it blew me away. Believe me flavor is kick ...

I see Grimm Green released his (and OhmBoy) new RDA.... called Recoil. It looks very interesting. Decently priced. Vapordna has them. Of course I had to have one :) Just ordered today. I'll let y'all know my thoughts when it arrives and I've had a chance to use it. I really like Grimm. He's a good guy !

Just got my Recoil RDA via Squidoode's website - he has it in stock, and I always like buying stuff from Squidoode since he's an OG coil tactician.

Hope this helps people make a decision - I think for the price - its a radical atomizer with a few BIG qualities that I absolutely LOVE and wish other manufacturers would implement into their designs. That being said, there are some equally as big design flaws or "Face Palms" .. but all in all for the price and build quality.. Top notch. My biggest complaint - which I'm going to guess will be most people's is down below -

First impressions -
Look and Craftsmanship - 10/10 -
This thing is CLEAN looking. Logo is nice, the componets they use from the mouthpiece to the grub screws are high-end. No short cuts here.
Packaging - 9.5/10 - (it didn't come with a screwdriver - not a big deal, I have one, but that may suck for some people having to go out and buy a tool to use this.. but i consider that splitting hairs especially in the RDA game)
Juice Well - 8.5/10 - I only give this an 8.5 rather than a 9.5 because I remember Grimm saying this was a deep deck, it is no deeper than most decks I feel - I'd say this is more "average" or "slightly deeper" - But it is still deep enough for me, so I like it!
Air Flow - 10/10 - Some people may say this air flow isn't as good as it can be because it's not SUPER customizable nor is it super-appealing to you weirdo single-coil groupies ;) j/k I used to rock singles too. One awesome, super do0o0pe, super rad, out of the box thinking is the air holes that are drilled SIDEWAYS to prevent juice from leaking out of the airflow holes! This was one of the coolest things I found in this atomizer's design.. It looks awesome, and very functional. Also it should be noted that the Top Cap's is SUPER thick - which is really nice feeling. This atty is also a little wider than a Velocity v1 and V2 - that may be important to someone - I'm pretty sure it is because the cap is made form a thicker-than-normal metal... which is awesome. But this may mess people's "lines" up with their mod... not sure if there will be overhang on some people's mod's... but seriously... who's still using mods - aren't we all using boxes with two batteries? :)
Top Cap - 7.5/10 - This comes with a "Chuff" style mouth piece - and the quality is excellent - it's not thin, and it doesn't retain heat. The only down side is that it is a bit short - you get juice kick back burning the lips sometime - which this is also attributed to the build deck's design, which I'm about to get to, and is by far my biggest grief with this atty.
Build Deck - 6.5/10 - All of the negative points about the build deck is the design, nothing to do with the quality. The Quality on this atomizer is better than most $130.00 atomizers. That's not an exaggeration. Here's the thing... I am a Grim Green subscriber.. I also watch OHM Boy's vids, and Local Vape is literally my local vape shop in Costa Mesa, CA - I know these guys are all about the Clapton Coils - dual coils, just innovation is what I associate with Grim and Ohm Boy... So why would they use a STANDARD build deck design, and not a "Velocity Style" build deck that allows for bigger coils, and deeper juice well? I've been spoiled by the Velocity's build deck design - It took a few trial and errors to get two 24gaFused36ga Claptons to FIT in this tight ... build area. I'm just not a fan of using an older style - Clearly the velocity lends it self to building thicked fused staples, aliens, framed, etc. So for you hobbyist vaper - who just uses 28 gauge wire wrapped 4 times - this deck is perfect. But for semi-enthusiasts - it is a tight ... squeeze. Also - if you try doing some Fused Clappies you can get some juice kick back, just because you have to mush your coils so close together. It is also a b#&^ to clip the leads of your wires in the two center pins. If this thing was a velocity style setup - It'd be my new favorite.

Overall Rating - 8.6/10 - One thing Grim said in his video demo'ing this atty that really stuck with me - and was almost the single reason why I bought it - is because he said - He drips through the top cap... and even nice RDA's will leak... this one does not, or if it does, it will be very minor. That is 100% true. I love my Velocity 1 & 2 - but they leak - Their top cap isn't as thick, doesn't modulate heat as well as the Recoil does, I even think the Recoil has FAR better build craftsmanship and quality of metals used. The best thing the Recoil has going for it (imo) is the quality, price, and look. As far as actual vape goes - the "Achilles heel" of the Recoil is the how the build deck is laid out - outdated. But geesh for $60.00 on Squidoode's site... it's a no brainer.

Spotted on a "coming soon". Sapor V2.
Two versions: 22mm or 25mm.
New topcap (looks domed, may have spitback thingy). Two airflow areas??
Velocity posts.

Honestly, not a fan of my BF Sapor - it's just a big open chamber, and doesn't keep up with other atties for flavor. But a lot of folks like 'em, and they're usually reasonable $.

I have to agree with you there. I got one just as a backup cheap BF rda and I gotta say, it had zero flavor, it honestly shocked me how flavorless of an rda it was. I did like the build deck though so that's something.

Isn't it Kinda Amazing how some RDA are Flavor Machines. And others it's like just Inhaling Air.

Any word on nonames notoy
What drip tip is that? I've been trying to find a large outside bore tip with a smaller diameter airflow.

Is that the Hobo 3.1? Didn't hear your take on the narda. What do you think?

I am not sure what tip she used, but the Crown 2 tip works just like that. Here is mine on my Drifter.

Yes that is the 3.1 and I love my Narda but unfortunately its a clone 8( however its a great rda and my clone vapes the same as my buddies 3 authentics lol. They are both fairly similar in chamber size and flavor intensity however I prefer a single coil on the Narda and I Vape them differently

Thanks for your feedback. I do like the recoil rda and used it on my joytech cuboid, so it was a good fit. Used it for a few days then went back to my twisted messes v2. So I guess that says something.

Yea - I'm still using the Recoil - I've had it on for two weeks now. I haven't gone back to my Velocity 2.0...

Mainly because I haven't had to rebuild my coils yet... My biggest complaints after more extensive use is the atomizer should be taller - to reduce juice spit back.. but I understand why they wanted to keep it this size... having a taller atty is more of a personal preference.

But the build deck... I like my Twisted MEsses build deck better - Even though design wise, it is very, very similar - the center posts on the twisted messes are more spread out - I don't know its hard to explain, but when trying really complicated builds like Framed Staple COils, Alien coils, all the other Clapton variants - This build deck doesn't feel very big, I feel cramped.

Once you get a good build in, the vape on this thing is 9/10 - A taller top cap I think would lend itself to better flavor (imo) i could be wrong through...

But this top cap is THICK as F! I love it! Seriously this is one heavy duty well-built atty. I forgot to post some pictures... here are some...

Sorry for the dirty cotton :( I have to switch it out today at some point... it's hard to tell from the picture, but these coils are TINY - I can only fit a very small amount of cotton through these coils for the wick - on my Velocity or twisted messes I feel like I can put bigger coils - by bigger I mean diameter of the coil, to fit more wick. I believe these coils are 26gauge Fused Claptons w/ 32 gauge on the outside. Right around .13ohm.

Well, this isn't for me, cuz
a) it looks pretty much squonk-proof
b) it's pricey
but it's sure interesting to look at, and i never saw it before!
United CHAOS RDA

that is some seriously nice machining on that deck....

that's deck-porn right there

i feel like we've come to a point where velocity style posts are overly done mixed in with last year's crazy air flow styles and crazy decks for crazy's sake. i want refined!!!

i want more RDA's like the drifter, narDA, hobo 3.1, velocity, nipple, viper v2, etc just really highly refined drippers w/o the crazy looking posts/airholes!
