I see Grimm Green released his (and OhmBoy) new RDA.... called Recoil. It looks very interesting. Decently priced. Vapordna has them. Of course I had to have one

Just ordered today. I'll let y'all know my thoughts when it arrives and I've had a chance to use it. I really like Grimm. He's a good guy !
Just got my Recoil RDA via Squidoode's website - he has it in stock, and I always like buying stuff from Squidoode since he's an OG coil tactician.
Hope this helps people make a decision - I think for the price - its a radical atomizer with a few BIG qualities that I absolutely LOVE and wish other manufacturers would implement into their designs.
That being said, there are some equally as big design flaws or "Face Palms" .. but all in all for the price and build quality.. Top notch. My biggest complaint - which I'm going to guess will be most people's is down below -
First impressions -
Look and Craftsmanship - 10/10 - This thing is CLEAN looking. Logo is nice, the componets they use from the mouthpiece to the grub screws are high-end. No short cuts here.
Packaging - 9.5/10 - (it didn't come with a screwdriver - not a big deal, I have one, but that may suck for some people having to go out and buy a tool to use this.. but i consider that splitting hairs especially in the RDA game)
Juice Well - 8.5/10 - I only give this an 8.5 rather than a 9.5 because I remember Grimm saying this was a deep deck, it is no deeper than most decks I feel - I'd say this is more "average" or "slightly deeper" - But it is still deep enough for me, so I like it!
Air Flow - 10/10 - Some people may say this air flow isn't as good as it can be because it's not SUPER customizable nor is it super-appealing to you weirdo single-coil groupies

j/k I used to rock singles too. One awesome, super do0o0pe, super rad, out of the box thinking is the air holes that are drilled
SIDEWAYS to prevent juice from leaking out of the airflow holes! This was one of the coolest things I found in this atomizer's design.. It looks awesome, and very functional. Also it should be noted that the Top Cap's is SUPER thick - which is really nice feeling. This atty is also a little wider than a Velocity v1 and V2 - that may be important to someone - I'm pretty sure it is because the cap is made form a thicker-than-normal metal... which is awesome. But this may mess people's "lines" up with their mod... not sure if there will be overhang on some people's mod's... but seriously... who's still using mods - aren't we all using boxes with two batteries?
Top Cap - 7.5/10 - This comes with a "Chuff" style mouth piece - and the quality is excellent - it's not thin, and it doesn't retain heat. The only down side is that it is a bit short - you get juice kick back burning the lips sometime - which this is also attributed to the build deck's design, which I'm about to get to, and is by far my biggest grief with this atty.
Build Deck -
6.5/10 - All of the negative points about the build deck is the design,
nothing to do with the quality. The Quality on this atomizer is better than most $130.00 atomizers. That's not an exaggeration. Here's the thing... I am a Grim Green subscriber.. I also watch OHM Boy's vids, and Local Vape is literally my local vape shop in Costa Mesa, CA - I know these guys are all about the Clapton Coils - dual coils, just innovation is what I associate with Grim and Ohm Boy... So why would they use a STANDARD build deck design, and not a "Velocity Style" build deck that allows for bigger coils, and deeper juice well? I've been spoiled by the Velocity's build deck design - It took a few trial and errors to get two 24gaFused36ga Claptons to FIT in this tight ... build area. I'm just not a fan of using an older style - Clearly the velocity lends it self to building thicked fused staples, aliens, framed, etc. So for you hobbyist vaper - who just uses 28 gauge wire wrapped 4 times - this deck is perfect. But for semi-enthusiasts - it is a tight ... squeeze. Also - if you try doing some Fused Clappies you can get some juice kick back, just because you have to mush your coils so close together. It is also a b#&^ to clip the leads of your wires in the two center pins. If this thing was a velocity style setup - It'd be my new favorite.
Overall Rating - 8.6/10 - One thing Grim said in his video demo'ing this atty that really stuck with me - and was almost the single reason why I bought it - is because he said - He drips through the top cap... and even nice RDA's will leak... this one does not, or if it does, it will be very minor. That is 100% true. I love my Velocity 1 & 2 - but they leak - Their top cap isn't as thick, doesn't modulate heat as well as the Recoil does, I even think the Recoil has FAR better build craftsmanship and quality of metals used. The best thing the Recoil has going for it (imo) is the quality, price, and look. As far as actual vape goes - the "Achilles heel" of the Recoil is the how the build deck is laid out - outdated. But geesh for $60.00 on Squidoode's site... it's a no brainer.
