Re-coiling aga-t for evic

i need to recoil my aga-t and its gunna be my first time with the aga-t i was wondering if i should take out the ss mesh and then wrap the coil around like a drill bit first or should i just take the old coil off then just wrap it around the ss mesh , also i want to wrap a 1.4-1.6 ohm so how many wraps should i do ?

I have started bit wrapping my coils. Easy to fire them off and burn in. then slip the wick back through and make adjustments. Also makes for a cleaner coil wrap.
For # of wraps, depends on the wire gauge. 32 is about 7/8 @ 1.7, 28 I have at 6/7 reading 1.4
