Some problems with members not being able reply to threads in this fourm:

* I could not reply to the sticky with the same name as in my Title here.

* Someone wrote a complaint about a supplier who I am doing business with (as a customer), and I wanted to ask if the problem was ever resolved. It was posted 3-4 weeks ago so that would have been enough time to know if the problem was resolved or not. However, the original poster never made a follow-up so it is pretty much useless to know they got the wrong product and initially had a problem contacting the supplier, but not knowing the final result.

I appreciate that you don't want to have a war between customers but not allowing replies also results in the problems I described. Can you allow replies on just the stickys? Is there a way to mandate that the original posters do a follow-up within a designated time period? -Thanks

It's because it's not a matter that is open for debate. We had to change to this ruleset for this forum because of the issues we had when it was open to anyone to reply to any thread. Threads got very heated, and some members got in trouble over it. You can look over some of the older threads in here to see what I mean.

You can always shoot the member a PM and ask them.

No, there really isn't any way for us to force people to come back and reply to their threads with a followup.

Now, since this isn't a supplier review, this thread really doesn't belong in this forum, so I am closing it. You can address any other questions about the matter to me via PM.
