Hi All,

joined this forum a while ago when i bought my first vaporizor. Unfortunately reverted to analogs after about 9 months of vaping happily - got a little frustrated with inconsistent 510 and fiddling. Recommitted to vaping and re-enjoying it, still smoking a few analogs per day but hope to wipe those out soon. Original account on ECF attached to an email addy that no longer exists so had to start over. Need 5 posts to make it to the Canada forum? Anyway - glad to be back. my 510 still works but still inconsistent experience. Perhaps its time for an upgrade.

Most definitely upgrade from that mini battery 510. That will solve many of the consistency issues. At a minimum I would get an E-Power 510 or Kgo with 1000+ mAh batteries. Much better performance than your mini model. You also should consider a good 5 volt or variable volt/watt model such as the 5 volt GLV2 or the variable wattage Darwin.

Good Luck

Hi Noob from NS! Are you from Halifax? I was born there but I live in Montreal now, I miss the ocean :)
I started with the 510 slims and got sick of them pretty darn quick! Now I have a Riva which is like a knock off ego. Canvape.com has some good prices on hardware, in fact if you find something cheaper (in Canada) he'll match the price so that would be a good place to start looking.
Good Luck!

cool cool - Riva use 510 atty's? still have a couple of those new. Seems like i probably want to switch to low resistance eventually - but if I can salvage anything from my 510 kits all the better.

I dripped when I get frustrated - but that little 'spring mod' seemed to 'save' my 510 from being tossed out. Seems like ordering a few LR Carto's might be worth a shot as well.

will read up on that vv product.

Yes Rivas use 510 threading so the attys are still useful. I just got an LR bridgeless atty for dripping (from Canvape also) and it's great!
Spring mod, OMG, I tried that one the first time around in 2009, what a PITA, the foam was always popping out or sticking to the atty, I called it the bingo dobber! Thats why I quit vaping the first time around, cartomizers hadn't been invented and I didn't know about dripping. The great thing about vaping is that the technology keeps getting better

Edit- I forgot to add when you have 5 posts and the system refreshes you can come to the Canada forum and get more info http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/canada-forum/

spring mod was definately a PITA - but I got mine to work better than anything else around at the time. dripping led to tailpiping as they did not have drip tips back then either. canvapes seem to be out of stock on the riva kits. I'll check back on payday. I cant believe all the options and info I am finding while surfing through here today. What a difference over the past year. Juice went up a little $$. But CDN flavor tobacco used to be specialty priced or impossible to get - cant wait to order some of that. I tried a few experiments last time around and learned that vaping somethign sweet made me a little nauseous (Kahlua, and some fruit flavored one) didn't even get through one cart.

I noticed on the CDN forums that there is a subgroup in Halifax - hopefully leads to a vape night so that I may test drive a few flavors.

Liberty flights offer Riva kits (they are a US company) for around 30$ but you have to pay 25$ shipping to Canada. Still a good deal IMO if you can't find what you're looking for. You can order juice from the US but it's a gamble, it may get stopped at customs. My favorite canadian juice vendor at the moment is jugheads.co I've heard mapleleafvapes.ca (.com?) is good too. Someone can PM you a list of all the vendors in Canada when you get down there!
