Hey all so I'm ready to place my first e liquid order. I just dont know much about it. So can anyone give me a brief overview of how to pick out e liqiud? Like... whats the differance between VG and PG liquid? I never even heard of these untill I started looking around. Is it common to find a good supplier and stick with them or are the sales to good and just keeps you shopping around. I've noticed that there are tons of suppliers. Can anyone recommend a good store or cigarette flavor liquid. I smoke full flavor cigs. So anything info would be helpful. I just dont want to wast my money. thanks all.

Hi Jons! Welcome to ECF. Liquid is overwhelming at first, but it then becomes a fun thing to look for and try. First, VG is what produces the clouds of vapor you see in youtube reviews. PG produces more throat hit. Most liquids have a mix of these two, often 50/50 unless it says otherwise. I found that all VG or even more than about 30% VG produced a lot of phlegm for me. That's not always the case, so what is best for you may not be what's best for me. I prefer a mix of about 80% PG and 20% VG.

I sampled many, many different juices before settling into four or five I really love. I still buy new juices once in a while, and have found some very good ones by doing so. I would recommend buying samples from a few vendors. While you may love RY4 from one vendor, it may taste like my son's socks from another. Also, what I love, isn't likely to be what you love. We each have to find our own favorites.

I have ton of sample vendors I'll post in my next post. I would order from a few and include a tobacco flavor or two in each. I wouldn't go exclusively with tobacco flavors because you may find, like I did, that the tobaccos aren't really what you like best.

I would also get an assortment of mg levels. I've found that in the morning I need the kick of 24 mg, then I switch to 18 mg during the day. I then go down to 12 mg in the evening because if I don't the nicotine can make it hard for me to fall asleep. Ok, enough of my novella on juice. I'll be back with the sample vendors.

I'm pretty leery of the flavors, I have no idea what this whole experience is like yet and can't really understand how they taste. I really have a problem with mint and artificial flavorings, so the thought of strawberry or banana just make me cringe.

Thanks for posting those sample packs, will come in very handy when I take the plunge (some time in the next week or so)

My first juice order was JohnsonCreek's two sample packs. Quick shipping & great flavors, and came in cute little dropper bottles.
But that was before I found the forum. Now that I've found this, I'm itching to try a few other companies.
I'm guessing finding the right combo of flavor & supplier will be a trial based on your own preferences.

I am just getting started too so I can relate. I find the sheer volume of choices to be overwhelming. I have only tried one but I'm already fond of it. It's from Cignot- their Basic Tobacco #2. The flavor is warm and sweet with a hint of old leather, just like tobacco was to me but much mellower. I have the nicotine-free variety. I don't know if the addition of nicotine would change the taste. Good luck!

I went with, Velvet Vapors Velvet Vapors - Home Five 3 ml samples, choice of flavors for $12.00. The only thing that set this site apart from the others is that this site allowed me to choose my nic level. Some sites only gave samples of nic in 18mg or something usually low like that. Atleast thats a little to low for me right now. I'm stoked about my order, I can't wait to get them in the mail and give them a taste. I also like there shipping rates. They have standard shipping rates across the board. I had a few questions so I gave them a call. It was nice ot be able to talk to someone about their product. So... I guess I'll see how it all turns out. Thanks for all the help.

So I went with Velvet Vapors Velvet Vapors - Home Five 3 ml samples, choice of flavors for $12.00. The reason I went with them is because I found that most site dont allow you to choose your nic levels in their sample pack. It would not be so bad if they offered it in higher levels. Oh well, Velvet Vapors allowed me to choose my flavs and nic levels along with the mix % of pg and the other one which I forget what its called, lol. Any ways I look forward to supplies showing up. Thanks for all the help all.

When I first started vaping I just vaped tobacco. From there I went to tobacco with some flavoring in it. Now I just vape flavors. I bought numerous ones that sounded good but when I got them the smell was disgusting to me. Luckily, I have been able to trade or sell the juices I didn't want so I can try new ones. SEJ has sample sizes and they offer free shipping on all orders over $10. Welcome to vaping!

I'm a HALO junkie myself, with Freedom Juice by far being the best liquid I've tried over the past 6 months. I just posted in another thread that they are having an awesome sale right now, 30% off plus free shipping. Freedom is a very unique flavor and very close to a tobacco in my opinion (torque 56 is pretty good too). They only have tobacco and menthol flavors but according to their news letter that I just got, they have new flavors in the works.
