i upgraded to a MVP2 from my ego. I love the thing ive been using it for almost 6 months and not one problem. What i like about it is a battery that can last up to 3 days, you can vape while it charges, its built like a tank you can drop it a lot, and you dont have to buy a battery and charger for it. What ever you get you will love! let us know what you get!!!!

A mod is a mechanical PV with no electronics. You're asking about APV's here - not mech mods.

For how much a Lavatube costs you could get a better vape experience out of a VAMO or an MVP2 for about 1/3 the price. The LT is really outdated and expensive for what it is. For about $75.00 more and you could get a Provari instead of a LT 2.5 - think about it. They really aren't worth the money in today's market.

I started vaping a couple months ago on a Ego c-twist and I just recently bought a kanger protank 2 for the ego c-twist and I really been looking to buy a mod but I don't know too much about them. I was looking at getting a lavatube v2.5. Is the tank that comes with the kit any good? Or would the protank 2 be better?

While the Lavatube 2.5 is a very good mod, it is also a bit expensive. I've heard that they're well built, but again still a bit expensive.

The kit that I saw comes with a carto-tank, which is perfectly good. But, it never hurts to try a few different types of juice delivery devices, including the ProTank.

And, don't let anyone tell you that you can't call 'APVs' mods. That's just an older term for them, not as politically correct anymore. I call them all mods because that's what I called them before the term APV was invented. Either terminology is fine.

Greetings, welcome to the forum.

It's always good to have backup devices, so even if the APV (or regulated mod) that you buy comes with a topper, you still may want to buy other clearomizers or cartomizers. I don't know much about the Lavatube, but like most APVs, it should be possible to buy the battery tube itself, without a topper.

With most APVs, you will also need to get 18650 rechargeable batteries and a charger. Here's some info worth checking out: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/4848-9-battery-basics-mods-imr-protected.html

What you've got to consider is build quality, aesthetic, intuitiveness (does the menu system and buttons feel intuitive to use) and its limits.
Does it look good in your hands, does it last long ( you can find this through several forums), you can find people using the mod on youtube, if i get into rebuildables how far can i take this mod?

You're a new vaper but have more to come, it's a learning experience so find something that's durable, looks good, feels good and has room to allow you to progress.
