I feel off the wagon and back to cigarettes a few months ago.
After a stern talking to from my doctor, I'm ready to give it another go.
During the lecture he made some really positive statements about his experience with vaping within his medical practice. I'll post and share this in the future.
When I stopped, I was using Bloog with Backwoods Brew Backo and I was pretty happy with it.
Looking at the internet sites I used to buy from, wow, a lot of new stuff has come out.
Before I spring for another Bloog, I thought I'd seek some advice from you all.
I'm after a cigarette looking device. Any recommendations for something other than Bloog?
I see Bloog is now offering liquids. How do they measure up to Backwoods Brew?
Thanks everyone!

Try the Volt, it's a great battery. I was using the eGo-T system along with cartos for them but like the Volt a lot better. Yeah, I have to charge them more often, but it's a good trade-off for the convenient size and same perforance as far as vapor and taste.

You only mentioned using one flavor liquid. Try finding a few more that you like. It's better to switch off on flavors or even vape several alternately. That way you won't get flavor burn-out.

I don't know why they don't come out with a 510 connection, interchangeable battery DSE-801HV. I think if a company managed to do this, it would kill. It would KILL. If a manufacturer is reading this, I claim rights on this idea and I claim the right to request payment if used. :p US patent pending 2/24/2012 J.V. Legal. Witness: S.V. ;)

OP: This is definitely a cool cigclone option but it does require proprietary atomizers and I have read that cartomizers aren't that great because you've really got to keep the coils wet if you don't want them to burn out. So, this will not do for many situation where you'll want a PV to work and work well. I also saw on the litecig website in the reviews that the batteries die after 3 to 4 months so that is to take into consideration. I don't see litecig selling replacement batteries?

I am in no way an expert but I was in a similar situation. I started off on Joye 510 ecigs which look a lot like the Bloogs. I was using carts and attys. It worked ok but the attys gave me a lot of problems. I got frustrated enough that I gave it up and went back to analogs. However I decided to give it another shot but this time I picked up a couple Riva 1100mah batteries and a couple boxes of Boge cartomizers. I ended up trying a bunch of different flavored juices and went with ones that were higher in VG. I now have about 8 favorite juices that I switch between and use in Smoktech LR XL cartos and Boge XL LR cartos. This setup worked extremely well for me and was what I needed. I also now have several Kgo batteries and switch back and forth. IMHO I tried regular Ego batteries but they never worked as well on my cartos as the Riva and Kgos do. Although Rivas and Kgos are a bit larger than Bloogs, they work much better. I would suggest trying either of those and see if you don't have better luck.

The biggest thing I found was to have a good working setup and a variety of different flavors to switch between. I now have 2 tobacco flavors, different cherry menthols, tangerine, lemon, amaretto. I alo have some pure menthol crystals mixed with PGA and like sometimes add a few drops to my tangerine, lemon and amaretto juices. I gave up menthol analogs 25 years ago but really like a bit of menthol in my juices...

The DSE 801HP its a pen style that has a 7.4 volt battery think its regulated doen to 5v but the batts can last up to 4hours some times and the flavor and vapor they put out is incredible

I agree with c.chalie. I was going to buy one for a friend as a surprise while he waits for the SS Dons to be restocked. BUT, I can't find them for sale anymore, unless you want to buy them in bulk from China. Oh well, they were good while they lasted.

i would definitely say volt because of the drip resistant batteries. if you get a couple batts and blank cartos, also get either one of the slider PCCs. try a sample pack from bluemistvaping and see if there is one you like. the reason i mention it is their prices for 180ml is ridiculously low. if you're getting back into it, still with one PV and one juice for awhile.

Looking forward to hearing what you "doc" had to say about his experience with vaping. As for starting out I don't know what's being offered on the market as of now but last May I started with a Joye 510-T kit. Mini blank cartridges that you fill and hold about .8ml plug into a 510-T attty that has like a spike that pierces the juice filled cartridge...no filament in the cartridge just juice. If I weren't such a "gadget" guy I could have saved a bit of money and gone straight to the Reo Grand which is the best mod I've ever used and that includes a Buzz and a Darwin both sold but the Reo will only be replaced by another Reo.

+1 for the volt if you're going for a stick battery.
I was totally vape-happy for months on a volt/bloog combo kit (same connectors, same quality) with plain old vanilla gorilla from Gourmet Vapors. The drip-resistant shorty auto batteries are really nice for the times that I genuinely resent pushing a button.

The Volt from smokeless image seems to have filled the slot that the bloog used to have. If you are determined to stick with that size, it's probably your best choice and I won't try to talk you out of it. I think there are better options but, they are a somewhat larger. However, I realize that for some size really counts.
