Ok after 5 days with my Halo G6, and cutting down from 1.5 PAD cigs to 4-5 cigs a day (with little effort) Im ready to upgrade. My G6 will be good for "on the go"...but Im looking for something that is a great vape at home in my chair or at my PC.

I have been looking at the eGO-T but afraid of all the bad press it is getting due to leaks. Have also been looking at the Provari VV...but that price tag is a bit high for me.

So here is what I would be looking for....

1) I like the idea of a tank.... Im the type of person where I will hit my favorite and be fine for a few days with it (hence why I like the idea of a tank). I DONT like having to refill my cartos every hour or so.

2) Something that I can possible move into "dripping" so when Im in the mood to vape 3 or 4 flavors in the evening I can.

3) Today I went through 3 battery charges.... so definately would like something that will last me 6 hours or so of steady vaping at a shot.

4) unlike a lot of folks...I wouldnt mind a cool vape. Im finding my KR808 (Halo G6) is burning the roof of my mouth a bit.

So any suggestions?? I would like to keep the price down below $100......

Thanks in advance!!! Who knew my new hobby/addiction would be healthy for me with the expception of my wallet :) Well.... all of you knew that of course :vapor:

the egoT 1100mah batteries will give you longevity, but the atomizers A/B/C you might as well skip.

egoT batteries are apparently 3.4v devices in practice. i have two, and they work great with 1.5 ohm dual coil cartomizers. i keep about 5 of them in circulation with different flavors since there's no one single one that i can see myself vaping all day, i like variety i guess. i top them off once at night and they're good to go for another day. they're super cheap and last quite a while.

i just bought a super cheap 3.7 custom box little mod (from smoktek.com) to get the true 3.7v vaping. i have a ton of cartomizers, and this device is compatible with them, so i have no need/want to experiment with voltages/etc. i know the egot's 3.4v is nice with my 1.5ohm dual coil cartos when fully charged to me, so the 3.7 should be perfect.

i like the concept of a the dct tanks that hold 3.5/5ml of juice, but again, there's no single flavor that i like enough to want to keep a full tank all the time, nor do i feel like buying 5 tanks to swap around. plus it looks dorky to me when coupled with anything other than a full sized 18650 battery type of mod, i.e. something with the same width as the tank.

but tastes are subjective of course :)

i do like the GLV3 XL (greatlakesvapor.com), but not ready to plunk that kind of cash down. but have seen a lot of nice looking 3.7 volt tube mods out there recently for well under a $100, just seems hit/miss with finding one that supports 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos for some reason, and since i have 80 or so of them, and i haven't found anything cheaper that works as well, i see no reason to experiement with more stuff.

1. You can stick a tank on any KR808 or 510 battery. You don't need to get a kit with tank included. Buy the tank separately, and concentrate on getting a BATTERY that you like first.

2. No clue about dripping. No info is better than bad info. Sorry.

3. Battery charge is determined by the mah rating of the battery. If you want something that lasts a long time, then you want a battery rated at a minimum of 650 mah, That should last at least 5 hours of consistent vaping. The general rule is 100 mah = 1 hour of use. YMMV depending on your personal vaping habits.

4. I also prefer a cool vapor. This is affected by two things. Battery voltage and atty/carto resistance (ohm). These 2 determine the wattage. The higher the wattage, the hotter the vape.

Watts (heat) = (voltage x voltage) / ohms. (Ex. 3.4V batt with a 2.0 ohm cartomizer - (3.4V x 3.4V)/2.0 ohm = 5.78 watts)

1) The voltage of your battery - The eGo is typically rated at 3.3-3.4V, others are rated at 3.7V, 4.2V, 5V, etc. The lower the voltage, the cooler the vape.
2) Atomizer/Cartomizer ohm - These range from 1.5 ohm to 3.4 ohm (That I have seen). 1.5 ohm atty/carto will burn much hotter due to lower electrical resistance, and thus a 3.4 ohm atty/carto will burn at a lower temp and therefore give you a cooler vape.
The point is to find a battery and atty/carto combo that suits you personal taste. Get a batt and try different attys/cartos at different ohms to find your sweet spot. The beauty of the Provari is that you can adjust voltage to preference, no matter what is stuck on the batt.

You would be fine with an eGo, , Riva 510, IGO, KGO, VGO, Echo, and such. These models all have batts that start at 650 mah and go up to 1300 mah. Typically, the more mah, the thicker/longer the batt, but that is not set in stone.

Hope this helps. :)

Ok thanks guys...

Looks like a VV mod is for me. Dont get me wrong I like a warm vape as well....but I found if Im sitting there, happily vaping away for 20+ min, I definately get a slight burned roof of the mouth (like you ate a pizza that was a little to hot). So it would be nice to switch from a warm vape to a cooler on.... also would be interesting for flavor change with the same juice as I suppose the flavor will change with heat.

Antother question... does a cooler vape (higher resistance Carto/Atty) produce less vapor? I would think it would...which sucks because I love to be surrounded by heavenly clouds of vape :vapor: My wife laughs at me becuase I will get vaping so much that my head is surrounded in clouds...lol

Thanks again all!! e-Cookies for all of you :)

I would suggest the Lavatube with a carto and tank on it. I think you can get those at Volcanoecigs.com for $85.00...after their 10% first time buyer discount. 18650 batteries and a charger will put you over the $100 mark though (just a little over). :(

I use the eGo-T everyday along with my Reos and love it. OR get an eGo-T passthrough! Use it with a tank and carto while you're on the computer. When you're not on the computer, it works as a regular battery. Get the 1000mAh passthrough ($19.00 @ Cignot) and batteries ($21.00 @ Cignot) though. They last much, much longer. Cignot.com has great prices. I buy all my eGo-T supplies from Vicki at Cignot...she's an ECF supplier. You may want to consider a battery charger Vicki carries for 10 Ego batteries. I leave my 6 batteries on it and just rotate daily. It works great and you always have a charged battery or two when needed. https://www.cignot.com/category_s/67.htm?searching=Y&sort=13&cat=67&show=10&page=2

If the eGo-T leaks, just change the cap on the cartridge (the end that goes into the atty). Vickie sells just cartridge caps also. :)

The burning of the roof of your mouth may be the ejuice you're vaping too. Some people react to PG and the nicotine strength. That happened to me too. Drink a LOT of water. Drop the nicotine down to a lower level and maybe do a higher % of VG to PG mix in your juices.

If you really want to try a cheap "get your foot in the door" mod for your first bigger PV, you could get a shine mod from Parkes vaping. I got one this past week, and LOVE it!

With two 16340 batteries it is a High Voltage (7.5v) mod, and produces great big clouds of warm powerful vape :D

With one 18650 battery it is a 3.7v mod, and produces cooler vape (this last I haven't verified yet, will as soon as the battery arrives!!)

I started with a cheapy KR808 something or other that did nothing for me. After that I had two eGos and they were great. But this thing blows them both out of the water! With two battery options comes your two vape choices, and the mod itself is only $25 (plus the cost of batteries)

Just saying, it would be cheaper than some of the VV mods out there, and could remain a backup if you further your hobby later! ;)

My next purchase (WHICH WILL BE a few months from now or the wife will divorce me) is a Reo Mod or a Darwin...something small and compact I can easily pocket and take to work with me. I think once I vape the Buzz, my Kr808's are going to taste horrible...

Or, buy the wife one too! Unless she doesn't smoke or vape, in which case it would be like when I bought my wife a table saw for her birthday. WTF was I thinking?

LOL..nah she doesnt smoke or vape... I have tried to get her to vape but she isnt buying it. She DOES like how I no longer stink like an ashtray, and our garage (where I smoked) no longer reeks.

My wife loves to make jewelry and metal smithing.... so when I got her a Oxy-Aceteline Welding set up she was in 7th heaven :) And I get to use it!!! If I ask permission :)

That works! For every new mod get her a nice gift the day before tracking says it will be at your house!
