I really think I want my next ecig to be a ego. my current ecig is a 901 and I just don't like the vapor output of it. from the videos i've seen the ego produces really good vapor and from what I've read you can still taste the flavors well.

but I'm really confused about it and it's parts and where to even get them.

1. Is there a difference between Joye or Janty?

2. I keep reading that if you get a ego you should get the mega atty's and carts and cones. But I dont really get what they are, do, or if you actually need them. I know what a atty is, carts are new to me, and I'm clueless about cones. oh and then wide band atty's and low resistance. not sure on those either or what to look for.

3. batteries what size and power? I read 650 mah's are good.

4. I know I want something where I won't have to refill carts during the day, change carts once or twice would be alright. just enough to get me through 8 hour work day. and something that easily fits in my blue jean pockets. and won't have to recharge batteries until I get home. I figure maybe 10 cigarettes I normally smoke during work.

I got my 901 from e-smokeytreats.com so I trust them pretty good and it looks like they have the ego's in but none of this mega stuff. i've got some additional parts from cigtechs.com and from what i've read on the site cignot is really raved about but their prices look a bit steep and then jantyusa havn't checked them out yet.

any help and links to starter kits and then additional parts would be greatly appreciated and any info you guys can throw my way. Thank you very much.

love my eGo...
i would order from Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. cuz they have two full eGo sets for 69 bucks, and also on their website they have the cylindrical or cone mega carts and attys.
i have the standard batty that it came with, i guess 650, though i know you can get higher power ones, but this suits me just fine...
i get PLENTY of vapor. i have had my two eGo's for almost 6 weeks and still going strong. i get about 8 hours of vaping on a charge (and i am talking nonstop chain vaping)

1. Contrary to the previous posts, Janty eGo's are actually manufactured by Joye. Janty designed them. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/jantyworld/96669-joye-ego-janty-ego.html as Janty themselves inform us. They work together on the eGo.

2. Low Resistance attys + Stock Cone + Steel Drip tips have been the best option for me. Carto's flood my lips most of the time.

3. 650's are fine, but 900 MAH seems to pack more vapor and battery life lasts longer (9-12 hours non-stop as opposed to 6-7)

4. Drip tips and e-jiuce are the way to go for me.

Coming from a 901 user, i truly tell you to try out the ego if your priority in vaping experience is vapor production. the only advantage i see in 901's are the amount of flavor, everything else I hand to 510's.

Fully optional parts and accessories to the eGo's for me are best available here: Joye eGo Heaven Gifts from battery types, to atty types to drip tips, ejuice and even their newly added eGo button protector (awesome), it's all there :D

The mega atty is the 900 mah. You don't need one. Same with the cone - it's mostly cosmetic. Some say the performance is better with the cone, but again, it's an accessory, not a requirement.

Drip tips are fine, IMO, for sitting at home, but at your office, or if you're out in the field, I don't see how it would be practical. If you're like me, you need something you can treat like a cigarette. Take out, puff, put away, repeat later. Then charge and refill at night.

I don't have an eGo yet, but I use cartomizers (cartos) on what I do have and I've never had one flood my lips. Maybe I don't suck hard enough (now there's a phrase I never thought I'd say).

I'm ordering my eGo from CigNot, as she's a US supplier and has a good price for what you get.

I am a newbie as well, I have had my Joye Ego for about 60 minutes now. I got mine at litecig.com (Here is their forum link: LiteCig - E-Cigarette Forum) I checked prices all around as well as rep and shipping costs. It will be hard to beat litecig since orders over $15 ship free. (Others you have to get $60 to $90 to get free shipping.) Litecig also has a rewards program.

I ordered the mega Ego, 900mah. I figured for $2 more why not get the extra power. I also bought a cone and cartos.

I have been testing cone vs no cone. I get a much better hit from the cone; less airy if that makes sense. I can definitely tell the difference. By no means is no cone bad, but as Emeril would say, the cone adds bam. And for $3/$4 more for a cone - again, why not.

I am not using mega attys or carts and my experience is just fine. I bought boge and slb cartos - I can't tell the difference yet. (But I have had them for 60 minutes as well.)

So far I can tell at my computer I will drip using my passthru. The cartos are great for on the go. Carto how to fill video is here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...tomizer-condom-filling-method-taryn-spin.html - - it really as simple as this video makes it look.

I also bought a LR atty that I am currently dripping. It is good but I do not (yet) tell a major difference between it and my regular attys. Again, this is based on 60 minutes of experience. (Side note, my 510 is all black but when I bought the LR atty I bought it in silver so I can tell the difference at a glance.

Someone answered question #1 really well, I think I touched on other 3. I thought a total newbie's perspective would be helpful.

Husker, the Ego Mega atomizers are huge compared to a standard 510 atty. The Mega Carts are huge also. They claim to hold 1.5ml juice. You need both the Mega atomizer and the Mega Cart (sold separatley) if you go that route. No cone required nor can it be used with the Mega set up.

I got a couple of each the other day, but haven't tried them yet. With the 900mah battery it turns the whole thing into more of a cigar size.

Can't wait to try em.

+1 on the cone. I got a kit with 2 and I think I may have burned up an atty on the eGo I had not put it on. I'm gonna try cleaning it but it may be gone.

Definitely a better draw with than without.
