Ok, well I bought a Ego T starter kit about 4 weeks ago and have really loved it. Recently the atomizers have been really hard to pull through. Last night on tore them down and cleaned them good. I've noticed a lot more vapor at first but it was short lived and they are still really hard to pull through. Is there a solution to this? The atomizers look really clean inside and fire right up. Also, it's the same on both batteries so I don't think they are an issue. I'm also thinking of upgrading once the Ego tank system goes. I just ordered the DCT Map tank system and I want to get a battery mod to go with it. I was thinking of the Silver Bullet or possible the BB but I'm open for suggestions. I want something with really go battery life but that I can slip in my pocket. Thanks for the help guys.

I love my tank set up (no throwing tomatoes!) and I have the same problem with some juices. I do find these clog faster than conventional atomizers. I tried alcohol and water and all that with no luck--killed one with a dry burn, and then I searched this awesomely awesome place and found something that works for me. The juice is the culprit, not the atomizer, at least for me. I used one with some dekang dk-tab for nearly a month without issue and when I changed juices, it lasted a whole 2 days before it got clogged up.

I read on here in a thread somewhere about cleaning with denture cleaner. (the fizzy stuff that you plop into a glass of water) I can't praise this enough--I soak them overnight in it and then I stick them in boiling water for a few minutes, blow them out and then dip them in alcohol (to help dry the water out) and they're just like new. I can see the white wick in there again like new. This is by far the best method for cleaning any atomizer I have found and it even cleaned up some of my (very, very) old crusty ones that I threw in a jar just in case.

Edited to add that atomizers are fickle, fussy things and are meant to be consumable. That said, they won't last forever and a month of use is actually pretty darn good!

I don't think you can see all the way inside most atomizers. The actual vaporizing coil could be gunked up and you would not be able to see that. Time for you to learn how to clean atomizers. You can try just blowing them out and repriming but they may need a cleaning and I don't know how people clean the T ones (they may remove some spike plate before cleaning - not sure).

And note - any juice that leaves a lot of flavoring sediment behind will clog atomizers and cartomizers faster. The worst offenders are typically dark juices that you can't see through well. One member has a test for "slag" - shake up the juice and drip a drop on hot aluminum foil. After it sizzles off, if it leaves a bunch of slag behind then that is also what it would do to your atomizer.

Thanks for the help guys. Last night I removed the spike and cleaned the attys in boiling water. I then did a dry burn and the coil is completely clean but I still get a really hard draw. Not sure what's going on but it might be time to replace them.

Anyway, I'm thinking of getting the Silver Bullet or the BB. They are kind of prices and when you add in batteries and charger it will run me around $130. I might have to bite the bullet though. What do you guys think?

Regarding mods: you'll get one sooner are later, and both of the ones you mentioned are quite popular around here.

BUT

For me, just getting some Boge Low Resistance cartos completely and totally changed my vaping experience on my ego-T. I had much less initial luck than you (type A tanks, leaking like crazy) - but the moment I tried the carto, that's when vaping "clicked" for me.

It's a waaay less expensive fix to what it sounds like you're finding frustrating, compared to a $100+ mod. :D

You'll still end up getting a mod, of course, (I <3 my Provari), but still. ;)

the problem have been resolved...
