Sorry Rant Time:

There's something wrong about the new ECF. It seems to be unattractive and boring to me. The 'look' is dated, fonts are skimped, notifications are sparse, searching is cumbersome, wasted screen space AND comments / posts enclosures are horrible.

Besides, I also have to reduce the brightness of my screen everytime I switch from other sites to ECF now

I believe it is more intended / intuitive for mobile browsers now (is it?) ~ but hey, there are plentiful folks who still use a computer (like me) for visiting forums and uploading / downloading ~ this 'new format' is not at all PC / Mac friendly for the purpose.

Overall this is becoming a daunting and unexciting experience to come to ECF, unlike before. The charm is lost. The fun is gone - and by God it was some serious funtime being on ECF before(!) - not any more. I am in fact, unintentionally, avoiding to visit ECF threads now ~ and that is strange for me.

Is it just me?

I feel a bit lost and something does seem like its missing, I thought it was me. I have a hard time with change. I used to like all the tabs on the top of the page and now I have to sort of search.

I liked being able to choose background and look, and how many posts per page. I dont like that my subscriptions or now watched dont all come up unless someone has posted since last time I visited. Many times I like to see those even if there is not a new post.

I suppose I will get used to it.

My biggest thing that bothers me is the ADS. Most of them seem outdated.

I have been hanging out less than I used to, not intentionally, but somehow something does feel like its missing. I guess since Im not a "tap-a-talker" the changes do not seem like a big deal or that positive.

I hope you get used to it Mr Q.

Too bad like some other site, that they dont let you choose "classic mode"

I guess it's early days, I'm sure they'll add different skins in time, it does seem very sterile looking right now though. If they could also sort out the Tapatalk issue that would be great.

Todd has his review of the Cthulhu RTA up now. Got mine delivered on Friday. It's an absolute beast!

If you're a fan of the dual coil / high airflow tanks, like the Orchid, Goblin, etc. I think you'll be in love with the Cthulhu.

Phil also got one, it's in the queue for a review from him as well.

Those little sets in the black plastic are real nice. I got those a few weeks ago when I got the Flash-e. The little collets and the item to the far right, are they just accessories for your drill or do you use them for vape related use?

Oh, I see now the item on the right is a vice.... Does it help with coil wrapping?

Sorry to hear your not a fan Stan. I use the mobile version 99% of the time. I'm loving it. Sometimes forums have the option to go to an old format. I hope they do this for you and others that aren't as happy.

Sedge, that pic takes me back. Was that mononke or spirited? Too long ago and to much ghibli lol. Big Miyazaki fan myself.

I'm a tap-a-talker and I'm bummed that it doesn't work anymore. I tried the mobile version on my iPhone while I was at dinner and I was annoyed that one of the few visible quick links is "Threads You Ignore" - how helpful is that?

With you gone this thread is almost dead in the water There are a bunch of pictures of stuff people get but nobody does what you do by a long shot. I think there is a high-end re-buildable thread where people just show off their high end stuff. For me, that's boring. Almost all the stuff minus Gepetto, Zero, Stig Helix and other stuff with long wait list anybody with the means can buy anyway. I'm quite certain alot of people here have the means so then what? More pics of stuff? What we need is you Qorax a man that delves in deep and shows us the nuances, the good, the bad, the ugly A good review. I admit I don't do good reviews, due to the fact I prefer to remain anonymous on the internet I provided a couple of pics of some ratty builds but that is it Maybe others feel the same way or don't have the time. But you my friend is what makes this thread Keep up the good work Qorax. Your stuff is golden!

Hey thanks Skin bro. I'm not leaving - I just am not liking the new ECF format, which is making my visits few and sparse.

I'm a member of quite a few forums, but visit / post in ECF the most b'coz of it's simple and user friendly design. The current format is not, it has now a complicated and unfriendly UI just like many other forums. And that's pissing me off

My initial impressions of the "new" ECF weren't great at all. Themes I'm sure will come eventually. What I don't like is having to relearn or look for things that used to be just right there.

I've since switched to mobile version & it's not bad at all but I can surely see how mobile wouldn't be a benefit for you- especially taking into account how in depth your reviews & tuts are..... who'd want to do so that mobile?!

I use Tapatalk 75-80% of the time so I was bummed it's not working but the mobile version of ECF makes TT's inability to function a moot point for now.

Yesterday when I was trying to get around on my Mac I was not having a good time!

If you left ECF would not be the same. I've learned so much from you. You make me want to explore other gear even though I can't afford it.

Those who just like posting pics of their stuff without even saying what it is teach me nothing!

It's not friendly at all. I don't use Tapatalk either. I use a computer. It is too bright and I miss the older format. The positive side to this change is, It can't get any worse BTW, I forgot to tell you, Thanks alot for the video's and builds. I appreciate them very much. I changed my Kayfun4 build to yours and it's flawless
