My first attempt at rebuilding a coil was a moderate success. It vapes, but not as hard as it originally did. Comparing the size of wires that the old one had and the wire I used (Kantal 32 gauge), I suspect the original wire was 28 gauge. Even though my ohms hit about 2.2 versus the original 2.8, it still doesn't seem to vape as good. I'm also using 2.5mm silica wick.

Because isn't not an APV I'm using (just a 3.7v eGo 1100mAh battery), I suspect that I'll need thicker gauge for more coils and perhaps going Nichrome this time. This is just for practice. I know I can get atomizers for this thing for $1.41 a pop - but really that's not the point.

What has other people found as far as using what wire with their atomizers? Thinner gauge and less coils? Thicker and more? I have VAMO coming and can't wait, but still want to learn more about rebuilding coils and what to use.
