i just messed around with some scrap wire and a few methods of crimps. the wire will not handle much tension so pulling a knot tight just snaps the wire. the battery in my car, i relocated to the trunk to make room for some more parts under the hood. all of the power runs to massive 2 inch crimp (inside diameter) and 3 inch's long. i had to rent a hydraulic crimping tool that was like 3 feet long from and electrical supply company to crimp it ($70 a day). but hey it works and at that connection i only drop .052 volts! a soldered connection can drop as much as .1 volts on a car and still work fine... at so what im saying is that crimps can work just fine the trick is going to be finding a way to make it happen.
