Hello their I am new to this community and was wondering what peoples takes are on rebuilding pt3 coils, iclear30b coils, and aspire bdc. I am curious if anyone has used ceramic wick to rebuild any of these, my local shop has been talking about ceramic wicks and that they last longer than cotton, silica etc.... So has anyone rebuild any of these three coils with ceramic wick? If so could you help me out here lol, and I am also looking into new batteries me and my girl have been using vision spinner 1300mah for six months now and I think it's time for a upgrade. Are the vamo v3's any good for any of the tanks listed above? Thanks in advance for any tips/help.

I have not rebuilt the PT3 with ceramic but I have with silica wick. It's a might bit harder than the single coil PT2's. I made two coils with 32G Kanthal on 2mm silica... and then sandwiched another piece of 2mm silica between the two coils. It came out at 1.4 Ohms with 8 or 9 wraps on each coil.

I've picked up some 34G Kanthal to try again in hopes to up that Ohm reading to around 2 Ohms.

PT3's are doable in regards to rebuilding... it's just harder than single coils. I don't know anything about ceramic .. so I can't really help there.

Hope this at least gave you a bit of info.

That's what I was talking about the ready xc-116 from RBA Supplies LLC, they seem like their a good company didn't know if anyone had used braided ceramic wick in any of these tanks, I think I'm going to order a foot of it and see if I can't rebuild them. I love to tinker with things like this so vaping and rebuilding them etc is a new hobby of mine :D

Hmm... interesting. I never knew there was ceramic that was flexible like that. When I think ceramic I think of the rigid pieces one might use in like a Z-Atty or similar.

Seems very expensive as far as wick goes.. but as you said I might buy a foot of it and see if it stands up to all those great reviews on the site.

I would guess since it seems just like silica wick it should work fine in a PT3 or PT2 rebuild.

Well I am going to order Friday and see what the stuff really does vape like, and see if it is more durable than silica wick because I've tried to dry burn all of the above and had very little success, I don't think I'll be able to rebuild the iclear30b because you almost have to destroy the head to get the top cap off to get access to the coils. The pt3 and aspire will be a challenge but I think I might be able to do it lol who knows. If I do and can make a good DIY I might take a vid but I don't really have a good camera only a tablet but that might work just as good. Thanks for your thoughts will be updating sometime next week.
