This is my fourth pt atty rebuild. My first was the single coil from the pt2 mini. I used too much cotton so I gave it another go tonight. It seems I need to thin it out some more yet. My first attempt on the dual coil yielded an atty with .8 ohms. I tore it down and started over. On my second attempt I used 14 wraps of 32 guage a1 kanthal on each coil and got it ip to 1.8 ohms. I seem to have gotten the cotton density pretty close on this one.

My first coil with 14 wraps. I ended up having to rework this one a bit since it was too wide

You can see how much tighter the second one came out

I'm sure it looks like a disaster to those who have done this before. A torch would have made this much easier. Not much room in the atty for a coil this large.

Was it much harder to put back the 2 coils instead of just putting back 1?

Not really much harder. I kept one leg short on each coil and on the same side when I dropped them in. That helps quite a bit. I just had to check and recheck the orientation of the two coils to keep them in the right spot a bit more than with the dual coil. The hardest part is getting the rubber grommet that goes under the positive post in but I've got these huge mitts and my vision isn't what it used to be. I did put a little bit of cotton between the top and bottom coil. I'm vaping some "Thug Juice" in it now. It is smoother and more flavorful with the cotton.
