Rebuilding eGo coils

I noticed my vaping had become unpleasant. At first I thought there was something wrong with my juice. Eventually I dumped out my clearomizer and took it apart. I found a thick buildup of black... stuff on the coil. So I found my problem and started scanning the forum for DIY solutions.

I found several DIY options for rebuilding coils on other vaporizer models but not one for eGo clearomizers. Maybe I overlooked it

Can someone give me a shopping list and/or a link to a how-to video?

I rthink we need a little more info since ego is term for the threading. Do you know the brand and model or a photo?

Sorry about that. I'm a total noob.

I'm using rebuildable Ce4 and Ce5 clearomizers: eGo Colored Ce5 Rebuildable Clearomizer

I ended up answering my own question after adjusting my search parameters on YouTube. In case anyone else has the same question later on, here it is.

Found myself wondering about rebuilding my tanks/coils, too so started poking around online. Eventually wound up at a site in China where I can buy direct from them. Minimum order is 10 of an item, but at $1.97 for an EVOD tank and $.67 ea for the coils .......why rebuild? Ordered 10 tanks, 75 coils and I'm set for a while. Cost w/ shipping a little over $100, which I would expect to spend anyway.

Next order will be for some replacement batteries. Have to order 10, but, since I'm in for the long run ........

Good to know. What's the name of that site?

I did get some wick and wire on eBay and I actually enjoyed rebuilding the heads myself. I like doing things with my hands.

OP just take your clearo apart, rinse in scalding water, drop in vodka for an hour, re--rinse ideally with filtered/distilled water if your tap water is hard, for extra credit dry-burn it, allow to dry and reassemble. vape on
