I've watched several videos on how to rebuild these, and I've rebuilt many many over the years, but this is my first Protank 3. I CANNOT for the life of me, unassemble them! I can only pull the pin and grommet (whatever the rubber part is called), but can't get the stem off to get to the actual coils!! Have they just started making these so we can't rebuild them, or is it just me? I've never had a issue before, so this is annoying, lol!! Also, do I have to use these specific coils or can I use any Kanger coil and just do a double coil instead of single?

Thanks in advance, would like to buy some replacements tonight, until I can figure out how to resolve this.

Any good sales going on, that anyone knows of for these coils?

Thanks so much!!!

Lightning vapes has protank coil DIY parts..

I found I like a single vertical coil best in the dual coil heads.
I did a 2nd one with just one coil until I just threw in the towel and bought a 5 pack, lol I've never done a vertical one before.... what was the difference in outcome? Now, I just ripped my iclear30 coils out and see it's too difficult to rebuild that sucker, now going to hopefully find a sale on some coils!! *fingers crossed*
